Right, as of the 15th next month i will have more money then sense, thanks to making a fair stack off the selling of my house (and moving in with Jonno who lucky enough also bought at the right time, and him being dead kind and giving me half of his lol).

Although we are planning to do some sensible shit with some of it (new windows, loft conversion, pay of all debts that kinda middle aged shizznit) we are still going to spunk loads on crap lol.

I am thinking about getting botox, but i am really worried ofthe possible side effects. I talk like a spaz at the best of times without half my face going all mongy. Does anyone know anyone who has had this- the area i am going for is round the eyes. Lol i laugh so much i have really crinkly skin there. I have tried to stop laughing but i can't.

My friend and Jonno say i am mad, i don't need it- but i want it as a prevention more than anything. I hammerd the sunbed from the age of 14, a good 4 times a week for years and years (so much so the bus driver used to say when i got on the bus after school 'half to Farry sunbed shop' lol). When i went to my mums the other day my mum gave me a book on cosmetic surgery lol, totally out of the blue so she obviously thinks it might be an idea.

Also, i suffer from hyperpigmentation, it started in puberty on my forehead and i looked like Gobachev for years. I did have some microderamabrassion and it sorted most of it- but i still have patches round my forehead which i cover with dermablend. I was thinking of having a peel to sort this out, anyone know anything about theese?

Cheers.

Yeah its lasts about 6 months- at £200 a go. But my reasoning is that it will stop me needed a 10k face lift lol when i am 50. Also, even if you have it for a few years it a few years less of overall ageing.

Its not that i mind ageing, its just i didn't really take care of myself when i was younger, i have always liked the booze etc- plus as i said the sun damage is starting to catch up with me. I am worried that by the time i am 40 my face will look like one of those cheap mock croc bags you see on the market.

Here you go
Botox

I have a something called a silky! every 6 weeks or when I can afford it. Its like errr bollox I cant remember, but Amelie you mentioned it months ago :axe: arrgh its a nightmare when you cant remember stuff

Basically its like having your face sandpapered lol, but not as bad! Actually its quite theraputic :) Plus I use products called MD Formulations which gradually peel the layers of your skin off and I tell you something it really makes a difference. I used to have quite a deep frown line (I was an angst ridden teenager lol :$ ) and since using this stuff and having these treatments you can barely see it :D  The only thing is when you go on the sunbed it burns your face, so you have to stop using it a few days before you go on really :S

Im having a peel in a few months, so when Ive had that Ill let you know what its like :D

Cheers for the link Sweet.I think you mean Crysatl Clear facials? They blast your skin with tiny crystaly shit, yeah i have those and they are great. I have also done the MD thang, many years ago -it was great but i am now looking for something more hardcore lol. MD has a gylcolic acid (aciiiiiid) rating of about 12% i think, which although good is quite superficial- the salon by me does them at up to 40%, which is what i am considering! Good luck with your peel, just makesure you have a good quality mosturser for after (and one for sensitive skin) and your skin can get really dry.

Aarrrrgh!!! Crystal Clear!!! I knew it began with a C!!! :|

I had one of those a few years ago, but it made my skin really really dry afterwards and it started peeling really bad, so I never had another one.

The silky thing that I have is the same but not as harsh, so my skin doesnt peel  I had them once a week for about 6 weeks and now I have them once every 6 weeks. My skin has deffo improved cos like you and Debs it had years of neglect to sort out :$ I also use Guinot products (well the free samples which I half inched lol!) which are lovely :)

Ive thought about Botox too, but I think having a face that doesnt move might look kinda freaky lol!! :|

If you have it let me know what its like :D

I think it's a shame that some women feel they need to go through the cosmetic surgery thing to be honest. According to a survey carried out by Grazia (sp) magazine - 98% of women in the UK are unhappy with their body and would change something about themselves when questioned:|

Get rid of all your beauty magazines and cancel any subscriptions to them and buya diy/home improvements mag instead, or spend the money on a nice weekend break:thumbsup: :)

Your friend and Jonno are right. You dont need it, and its a bad idea in my opinion. Also, does your mum randomly buy you a mini JCB when she thinks you need your rose bush trimming back and the garden mowing? - Sheesh, hardly a subtle gift that was it?

Perhaps it was a hint that your mother wants an early birthday present with your cash LOL.

In my opinion, pumping ten tons of toxic shit into your face can never be a good idea, expecially in your circumstances, and people can get carried away and start to look like the Roswell alien or thier waxwork double as thier face looks made out of plastic.

Only in extreme cases would I recommend surgery, where its affecting your mental stability and causing depression or aggrophobia or something. People do get older, things do happen, you cant hide forever, might as well learn to like your natural self imo.

Shall I pump my face with toxic material?....hmmn thats a tough one lol.

Is it for you......or how you think your mother see's you? Jonno seems a happy bunny, your mate says you dont need it. You say its a preventative measure - meaning its not even a serious issue yet..... Id just leave it.

Sirius.

Lol! Im sorry Sirius I know youre being serious and making a very valid point, but the first thing I thought of when I read that was Amelie using a JCB to trim her bikini line!! :|
