Tony Wilson did an arty thing called 'THe Other side of midnight' as well and Im pretty sure I saw some of the top Manchester acts on there in about 1988-used to be on before Cell block H!!

i remember this mate....i think new order were on it quite a bit....and another thing i remember was some fella throwing paint all over the floor(i think they call this art)while blake baxter - forever and a day played

There is no good music shows on full stop these days , never mind dance music. Who remembers the white room with Mark Radcliffe? That was quality. Even tfi was top in it's day for music. One of the greatest moments of television history was when Shaun Ryder broke the world record for sswearing within a 3 minute period when doing a cover of pretty vacant.
As for Altern8. My mate is gonna put on the full boiler suit and dust mask when Mark comes and does a set for us. That should be a buzz. I wonder what his reaction will be?

I have on video somewhere that actual debate about 'The Warehouse Raves', its pretty mad watchin' it now!! They even do a little dance to 'D-Shake - Yaaah', just to show the oldies how they dance!! Has MC Juice on it as well (The House Crew fame) tellin 'em the music's here to stay!! And it still is..........

I think i remember that one, did it start with the Live party in the studio, smoke machines bellowing out etc. And the studio was in 2 halves, with the oldies on one side complaining about the noise and people making love in the streets.. WTF! They had not much to go on really. Class vid.

anyhow mid song all the amps trip out the host quickley adlibs as Ian Brown shouts "Amatures!" from over her shoulder!!
In a later inteview Jon Squire admitted he'd turned all the amps up after the soundtest!

it was Normski's House Party that had the bassheads altern 8 bizarre inc and messiah all on it. at least normski had some patter and the crowd looked like theyd heard dance music before. they had the camera flying through the door and up the corridor. okay so it was shit but it pissed all over top of the pops, hell even the network chart show was better.
i think they changed the name to dance energy after that and it became even shitter

music wise BPM was good though and when you came home at yon hour the hitman and her (cocoon and rofo lol magic)
loadsa great shit on late like tour of duty (loved the theme music paint it black) oh and vidz was fuckin brilliant and bits
