i've got this original bootleg by dj eren

it cost my brother 20pence down the red hut in manc

its has the same logo as the later rereleases

but has 'hate' or 'rock n roll' on one side and 'love' on the other
written

also has 3 other mixes
i can't think what at the moment, just acca's over nice garage instrumentals

Lucky man...;)

I've got the original bootie too, cost me a tenner back then if I remember rightly. The story above about DJ Eren is exactly what I remember hearing back then too. As for the other tracks on it I'll dig it out and take a listen tonight, Nicole - Rock The House over something is one, Robert Owens - Tears over something else I think was another, and Jason Load - Mainline over Renegade Soundwave was the other I think. There was in fact a follow up 4 track bootie to this, I can't remember what it was called but it had the same flower thing in the middle. It's not a patch on the first one though IMO, and the only track I remember is Art Of Noise - Moments In Love vs Phuture - We Are Phuture, which I can remember thinking at the time was a mix and half.

I do reckon the pucker bootleg mix of Candi Staton / Your Love pisses over the released version even though as someone said above the only difference is they recrecorded Your Love, just doesn't sound right to me.

yes it was defo a studio mix
he'd lost his DAT

so robbed my brothers copy
and we haven't really seen him much since

not seen him for almost 3 years

last time was in jersey
TOP TOP NIGHT
at his mates dads 'hotel de france'
nightclub

I got the Erens bootie too although I don't have the other tracks mentioned - there are 2 tracks that use the candi acca (Your Love & summat else) - there's also a tracks that uses the True Faith acca over some acid...... btw the erens mix I have is shite pressing & sounds well raw

The ep was called Rave Tracks of Love (or summat like that) the label looks like the truelove flower thing.

PS Anyone else heard the Scammers remix of Your Love - from 2000 on Church of House..... what a feckin mix  bollock busting breaks :king:

Interesting that Shoomster. I used to run a club with someone who does stuff as Scammers. Are they one and the same??? Jay Patel is the Scammer I know.

PS That bootie you've got must be the bootleg of the bootleg someone mentioned above, I reckon.

Just got the follow up to the Love Rock bootleg out, and it's pretty lame to my ears, other than the Phuture vs Art of Noise track. As with the first bootleg it's got the flower on the label, and has Mister printed on one side and Phuture on the other, and both labels have got Rhythm Doctor printed on them also. Perhaps this one wasn't Eren and was the Rhythm Doctor himself?

I've got a Truelove boot it has 4 different remixes by Rhythm Doctor of Whycliffe - I think that the name of the tune is Love Speak Up

sort of pianoey/garage vibe with quite a nice little piano line - but ultimatly quite weak

a bit off topic but still in a source early us house kinda way

i've always wanted the
react 1992 2x12" nicole 'rock the house'

but today i stumbled across

12 react 12 1992
The Source Vocals by Nicole 'rock the house'
one source mix, fast lane mix (same piano break as tom salta), creative thieves mix, d-code mix, shades of rhythm mix

a bargain at a quid me thinks

but is this part of the double pack? or a stand alone 12"
and if so, has any one got this double pack
and what is the correct artist,is it
nicole or the source (vocals by nicole)

ps. i'm willing to pay alot for the double pack, if anyones interested

That's not one half of the double pack - the double pack doesn't even mention Nicole - It's just called The Source - Rock. It's does have the original mix on there though but here's a strange thing it's called "Hurley's House Of Trix" mix or something like that. Now I've got the original Oceana release as well where it's Nicole - Rock The House and the exact same mix is just called the Club mix and all credits are given to Clivilles and Cole, with absolutely no mention of Steve Hurley! Bizarre.

thats the mix that sounds like the roberta flack mix - very very similar instrumentation - gotta be steve silk hurley - unless he was biting C&C's style??

i was of the understanding that this was part of the original candi staton Love/Rock bootleg ie You Got The LOVE and ROCK The House on the other side

anyone got this and can confirm what the mix/track is on the b side
