OK, so I'm completely on the fence. BUT for those who say "ghosts do not exist, end of" etc...you can prove that as much as people can prove their existance (from a scientific pov)...so maybe a little less gusto when shooting down people's beliefs.


I've never seen one, and am generally quite sceptical when people say they have (possibly through conditioning, and the fact their are soooo many charlatans about lying on behalf of everyone). I'm not sure that I think energy would manifest itself as a ghost....I can't be fussed to write down my whole thoughts here really...anyway.


In other news, I have seen a UFO. And before people start flipping out, I don't automatically think that means little green men in a saucer shaped craft.

It was two lights, moving in a speed and a way that I have never seen anything else move (no plane), and then just disappeared. I'm not stupid, it wasn't a balloon, or a firework, or a plane..

But anyway, even to me it's completely none conclusive...it was just an unidentified flying object. clue is in the name.

Yes, and they don't have conclusive evidence that it doesn't exist either. It's like trying to 'prove' love or some other belief. I think it's wrong to mix science into everything. And besides,as you know scientific proof is only ever there to be disproved - so it all ends up being wrong at some point doesn't it? What we know to be 100% fact, could in 100 years be 100% wrong couldn't it? (I like science for that...exciting) There'll never be a full answer to everything. The very fact that so many people believe in something should say something to you...not everyone is a complete idiot are they? Just like they're not a complete idiot just because they believe in something science can't prove. Science and belief should work together...not as single entities...of course this is my opinion...some of the very best scientist were driven by their beliefs weren't they, they don't have to conflict. Anyway, I digress...

Like you say, forget most haunted, that is a bollocks of a program that prays on peoples belief or uncertainty...I don't agree with that.

Aye, dismissing something out of hand because there is no tangible evidence to prove in the existence, yet believing in science, often with no proof to back up a theory.

Science is often a best guess because it cannot always be proven, yet gullible idiots will believe everything just because it's offered as a scientific explanation

I haven't and never will. It's a nice thought that there is some sort of afterlife.
But unfortunately there isn't.
I understand everyone has there own own opinions, beliefs etc; which is cool.
Would I believe one of my best mates if they told me they'd seen a ghost..?

Yes, we do, its the law of thermodynamics, just that people would prefer to choose to ignore this.

Humans are fickle unevolved creatures at the best of times, our peripheral vision is still more accute then our forward vision.. stuff that kept us alive when sabre toothed chickens wanted us for breakfast, still keeps us alive if an unexpected car comes out of no where, or a mugger.
But because it aint direct, and we react to it to strongly, its designed to get our attention quickly in times of potential danger, the images can be misinterpreted.. the human brain actively seeks patterns, even when non exist.

Add to that everyone of us on here is or has been a serious cainer of rare and unusual pharmaceuticals, often with vision changing properties, combined with the aforementioned sleep deprivation, proven to seriously affect judgement, is it any wonder we are seeing unexplained phenomenon?

I agree, it just ain't possible. It really just comes down to that. I wish i was wrong, i wish there was more to life but we are just simple living machines that either get old and die or get damaged and die. Just like ants, fly's, tree's etc. No one ever says they spotted a ghost cat or a ghost spider.

Anyway, i think ghosts exist. In spirit like love, joy, excitement, sadness, loneliness, happiness, fear, surprise.

Even the first molecule or atom or whatever scientists go on had to come from somewhere, it can't have come from thin air. If nothing existed at one point in time, how was anything created? Something somewhere must have created the first whatever it is the scientists claim we all come from. At one point there must have been nothing, like literally nothing. If there was absolutely nothing then maybe spirit is all we ever had, and that's what we'll go back to.

So unless there has always been something here, or there's something more less-logical than i can think at the moment that could have created us, but where would they have come from? Even if they came from another planet who invented them?

Not sure you can create something out of nothing even if it came from another universe because who would have created that universe? At some point in time probably nothing existed. But then what is existence? Its weird because before video games nothing existed but we did. we invented video games. But if we weren't here and literally nothing existed not even planets then how could we have been created? Lets say planets didnt' exist, because like the ocean and land, it changes over time. At some point these planets wouldn't have existed like the land we habit today was once an ocean and vice versa. but then before that perhaps none of it existed.

So how could something be created out of nothing? Unless it has been created in the non-mass sense that we think about today. but even in spirit land have we always had spirits or were we something else before that. And where are we going? I'm not sure it is easy to pinpoint a start middle or end. Maybe the whole of life is like a black hole - it is never ending and mysterious. I don't really know much about black holes either but I bet this would have been a great conversation to have had mashed!!

Any way my moms house has got a ghost (think my mom said its a little girl) , there have been a few times my family have had/saw things happen , there is 1 time when we were all in bed(me in my room ,my bro in his , mom n dad in thiers and there was somebody knocking on all our bedroom doors , we all opened our doors to each other , all of us were like wtf, another time my niece was sitting in a chair n my mom was in the kitchen n the ghost hit my niece on the head , another time my mom woke up by being shook and a voice saying diane help ur child the spirit was my great grandad, my mom went into mine n my little bros room to find me being sick all over the place with a high temp n quite a few times babys/ toddlers stare at nothing waveing n smiling , my little bro has had more things happen to him bed shaking n his name being called

another time when i worked at a block of flats n me n this bloke n when i say bloke he was a 20 stone big ass black guy doing a patrol of the this like help center for residents ,well we were walking up the stairs n we turned the lights on as we were walking up the lights went off we were like wtf so we went up n turned em back on , as we got near the bottom of the stairs at the end of the patrol they went off again (n no they aint on timers )me n this fella just stood still , we then heard a sound like womans heels on the floor above , now we have to turn the alarm off to get in this center n we set the alarm before hand so no 1 cud of been in there , well as we heard these heels this 20st black guy turned on his heels n ran he outran me no problem , a few other guys i worked with heard the same thing before, we later found out the center used to b masenets n this woman about 18/20 fell over the balconey n died there n ppl think its her
