just wanting opinion
do u think italian belters are dying
or do u think in the future they
will cum bk as strong as they used to be
  :axe:

Have to agree. Italian tunes as we know them died in 1991. They all sounded like culture beat after that.

There was the odd breakthrough tune since like Sasha Giorgi - Multiground e.p.

There has been some recent proper house releases by the Italians to compete with the trends of now...

Planet funk - Chase the sun (a couple of years old now but a future classic which just happens to have no pianos or synth)
Sasha Carassi - Sexy nightlife e.p.
Dan Corco & F Carreira - Premice e.p.
Francisco Saviere - This is not you

The future Italian classics are made by Jolly music.

Depends what you mean with Italian belters. To me an italian belter is along the lines of Alpha DY, NOID by Funk Machine or Laura Palmers In the Mix. Cant say Ive heard a lot of the zone style Italian stuff post 92 that is mentioned on this board, but what I have heard hasnt been my cuppa tea.

Its possible if the trend in dance music starts to change and piano house becomes fashionable again then you might see some of the italians returning to what they do best

I don't think they are dead, but getting the right blend between new and old is the right way to go.

You know me jay-c i like all the bouncy stuff and hard house, but chucking in some beauts in between gets the right blend of old and new, obviously if they are the right tune. A mean a banging hard house track, then jk - beat it, it just doesnt work imo, but something like jt co or th express sounds quality.

I think that is the way forward, as you can tell cos thats what you get at a lot sanctuary nights.

whats it down to is ages - ricky jay c all you lot are young aint ya -lol all of us konspiracy - wilpitch - lastnightadj - are semi or retired djs yous are startin out so ya in ya elemant now same as they was in 1989 90 - so ya missed that era of tunes - your era is 98 - 2002 what ever - lol crap music crap drugs imo - but thats just me i can rem the days of 90 - 94 they was my main partyin days - never looked at music since unless - us house or breaks

im gonna remember that one mate......;)

theres plenty of good tunes still coming outta italy specially planet funk, their stuff after chase the sun has been far better cos chase the sun was hammered commercially (the love story bootleg is better) and some funky tech tunes coming outta there are good as well

Italian funky house is great now and has been for years

Yep, you'll be surprised how many of the new class funky tunes that are comin out today are of italian origin! The Brit companies know this, and as soon as there released on import, the brits get em signed to there label!! Example... 'Spiller - Groovejet', originally this was a funky disco instrumental from Italy, Brits got a hold of it, added a vocal, and boom into the charts it went!! lol :D Finishing now, goin on a bit too much!! :D

Piano (production wise) died, Synth (production wise) died, but the funky ass tunes still goin!! Tell ya, like a great man once said.. Disco will never die!!' lol :D

Black Legend was out of Italy too

Like Biskit says the Italians keep up to date and are the boys at chucking out good commercial club music in whatever is the popular style of the day - theyve been doing it since the seventies

and they still get the #1s :D
