Recently came across these online...

Tape 1 - Jon Pleased Download

Tape 2 - Tony De Vit Download

I see that @brady has the TDV mixes listed on his site; it's the same mix as with a couple of extra tracks at the start:

Has anyone got a proper scan of the tape cover?

Hello folks :)

Ive just registered.

The uploads were from me on the tube. At Christmas time.
I will try and get a scan for you, of the whole cover.
Here is a quick picture of it with quotes from the other side of the cover.

Passion Records

Passion present an exclusive series of live recordings.
This 'garbled overlayed print garbled unreadable' captures the DJ's performing their skills.
Chosen from the UK's best House & Garage clubs.
CAT. EAT. 001

Catalogue 001 says quite a lot to me. Maybe the first and the last of its kind ?

I cant say ive ever seen any tapes like these before.

One other very interesting thing ive noticed.
If i shine a very bright LED light underneath the cassettes, i can see the original print underneath the white label ?!?
This is what it says. Basically the original ink which was stamped onto the main plastic shell before the white label was stuck on after.

Underneath the Tony De Vit cassette it says,

LOST IN SPACE
Presents
'In the Mix'
John Kelly.

The Jon Pleased Wimmin cassette underneath says, and its very hard to work out.

GOLDEN
Danny Rampling.

Do you guys know of any sets that were named the same as these? As a pair or possibly seperate ?

Investigation is 75% there.
Maybe with your music knowledge we can track these tapes down to their original source.

Thanks guys :)

Hey there Maccy, thanx man :)
Yes, its my channel. I remember all your comments !

Slow progress at the moment tho. More problems on my Sharp deck, bloody thing.
One of the belts inside must of snapped, as both tape 1 and 2 are now having problems.

The CD-X9 has 3 belts inside, with one of them being shared across both decks.
Got to pretty much take the whole thing apart to detatch the cassette membrane from the inside, so you can replace the main belt.

I should have it fixed soon. It just takes a long time to take everything apart and back together in one piece. Have to be really methodical.
I recently found a genuine manual on Ebay. From Germany it was. Very nice.
Manual has the full schematics for the whole machine. All the part numbers. Very detailed and impressive for 1989.

Ive already done it once before. Not a very nice job. Must attack it soon hehe
