Dont think some of the dragons on dragons den were convinced when he first went on, if I remember correctly  (and if i'm right it was bound to have been that Deborah Meaden hag who veto'd it, the po-faced bitch says no to everything) :ba: lol

Deborah 'Well let me tell you where I am on this AKA Im not investing' Meaden

She bugs me her:mad:

lol I was singin his song for about a year after he came on Dragons Den:$

ahh think I know the one you mean Hux, think it says 'Love Apple' which is where the confusion comes in I suppose
supposed to have been from some african tomatoes called pomo dei Mori which got translated into pomme d'amour (love apple in french)
(you can add this to your sauce facts catalogue now) ;) :D

Nearly bought that yesterday but didn't (reminded me a bit of HP)... what's it taste like ?

Supermarkets should have tester bottles in the aisles where you can shove yer little finger into the neck & have a dab in my opinion :D

lol, you can try some if you're here next week m'darlin

It is different to brown sauce IMO, because i'm not keen on the original HP

just been looking:

Normal HP brown sauce: combination of malt vinegar, tomatoes, molasses, dates, tamarind and spices. Other brown sauce brands available in the UK use similar recipes.

HP steak sauce: In March 2008, HP announced the launch of HP Steak Sauce. This product featured a different recipe from the Original Brown Sauce, using a mix of spirit vinegar, tomatoes, black pepper, onion and cayenne pepper

'tis nice :)

where ever i lay my hat ( straw one )
I saw an advert for this yesterday, and wondered what the blinkin flip it was

I've never heard of it, and I know I wasn't exactly brought up in t'northern territories but its not something i'm familiar with. Is it new?
Looked like it'd be something similar to Lea and Perrins , which everybody and his dog knows about, whether from Worcestershire or not ;)
but it didnt really say what kind of flavour it was.
Anyone enlighten me / kill my cat? :D

Taste like chicken :D

feck never seen the above post sorry TC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone, it sounds like no one has heard of Lancashire sauce, but it is widely available throughout Lancashire and more recently Nationwide through Lakeland.
It is a fantastic product which adds flavour to your food and it is very difficult to explain what it tastes like.
(how would you describe the taste of brown or Worcestershire sauce? difficult eh!!) its not what it tastes like its how it improves the taste of your food.
use it like you would, salt, pepper, vinegar, stock seasoning etc. it adds flavour to virtually anything, except ice cream (unless someone tells me different.
Check out the Lancashire Sauce website Entwistle's Lancashire Sauce :: Relish :: Shake on Condiment :: Ramsbottom to find out more and where to buy. Meanwhile if anyone has tried it and likes or dislikes it, please send your thoughts to info@lancashiresauce.co.uk where i will be glad to hear your comments.

Hello and Welcome David - thanks for the info on the infamous sauce.

I'm not going to try and work out how you found this thread :| lol

I didn't realise I could get it in Nottingham - I'll be getting a bottle or two next time I'm passing 'Lakeside' :D
