i went to legends from october 91 to about march 94. amazing , wasn't it. there was usually about 15 of us from blackpool, but sometimes there was as many as 30. i did a video on 9 feb 91, i watched it recently ,it made the hairs on mine and my wifes back stand up and i got goose bumps all over.plus i have to admit it brought a tear to my eye. i've still got about 50 tapes from this period, some of em are wicked. i recently downloaded cybersonik ,teknarchy. wot a tune. do ya remember such classics as cassonova and moment in time .tunes like these and others i will never forget. i've got some good memories from legends, like the time my mate said "hey paul come through this door" so i did and i was standing right on the side of the rugby pitch, that was a bit of a surreal excperience when ya faced mate i can tell ya.
i'll share more stories with ya if ya want.

Legends was a great club undeniably and I never had a bad night there. The music was always excellent.

The only thing that spoiled it for me were the occasional wankers that went there for a different kind of night. Like the wanker that stuck a lit cig through my shirts sleeve and when I turned around he was just stood there with a smug grin on his face. Shit could have blown up like the Godfather at that moment, because I was so close to knocking him out, but then I realised I was there for a great night out with my mates and it wouldn't have solved a thing.

It was great club and played it's fair share of breakbeats (which are guaranteed to make me dance that bit harder and groovier), maybe if it had been closer to town though then it wouldn't have attracted the undesirables

Awww Legends was home away from home for me

Loved it, i had moved over to blackpool at the back end of 90 which is when me and my lot started goin regularly.

Dont really have many storys apart from the night bein totally ace everytime (i do remember though when noggy got fired off-that upset a good few peeps and it wasnt long before he was back )

I recall one night we had parked in the car park belonging to the club, and when we came out we had been blocked in by a mini :| the car park used to get silly, cars were just dumped anywhere there was a space to anyway the door men came down (good of them) asking if we had problems, as we had been sat there ages waiting :$ so they kindly offered to move the mini for us thinking great this was maybe one of their mates cars or summat and expecting them to go and obtain the keys to move the car - but no...they called for another couple of door men and all four of them literally picked the mini up and moved it out of the way for us to get out

absolutely top quality......you dont get that anywhere else

everytime i went to legends i seemed to bump into sumone i hadnt seen for ages as well.............i was mooching about in the chill out room and downstairs where the punchbag used to be and remember bumping into a massive host of Blackburn peeps, made my night that did cus i remember having such a laugh....top memories indeedy phones:

used to go leg ends late 91 -92 in the gap between shellys and renaisance woods and noggy order of the day , bit mad in legends really saw lots of kick offs usually big ones!
days of pink champagne for moi and green new yorkers which we actidently got wet about 100 of them ! they turned into furry mush so we did our best to push them into an e sized shape and sold them as mushy peas !! and we sold nearly all of them lol. some peeps were getting proper gud deals to coz we were making some that worked out nearly twice the size accidently as we couldnt see in the car to re assemble them :S

I remember an article on Legends on some programme on Granada in '92. The girl they interviewed was describing the moments where everyone had their hands in the air as akin to a religious experience.

They showed a few shots of the club, they were playing Jam & Spoon - Stella I think

looking at pics like that not only make me feel old but also make me feel quite sad that those days are long gone i had the best days of my life 89-93 and looking at that brings it back , i wonder how many of them would be embarrased now ? lol

i have to say my favourite memories of the place was when me and mike used to start kicking it up towards 11 oclock then slam the killer record in usually something like saturdays angels and watching the whole place go banannas and then it was a constant step up in rythmn which we'd then drop at 1:30 into a barrage of vocal gems which led to 2oclock which will never leave me as it was like thunderous stamping and clapping a pleasure to have been apart of it and memories never forgotton!

I spoke to Fran (Toxycat) a while back and she said there was more which must have been the 3rd link which I hadn't seen before. There's loads of people I have spotted on there some of who I still see now and again. Well funny looking at them pictures. Mike (Badroxx) gave me about 7 packs of photos for the web site so there will be loads when its finally ready
