I can't see the McCanns having the gall to use the donated money for any defence they may have to mount. It would only lower their already plummeting public profile.

If charges are brought though and the McCanns end up being found guilty, what happens to all the dosh? Can I have the 27p back that I chucked into a bucket outside Wilko's?

Last week, Kate McCann was questioned for 16 hours over two days. Detectives are reportedly unconvinced by the answers the McCanns gave to several key questions. The couple are also said to have exercised their right of silence on some questions.

If you had accidently killed a child, I suppose youd think reporting it missing, especially in a foreign country, would be the best way of getting away with it, I bet they never thought it'd become so high profile & her case would just be filed away with all the others after a few weeks, but theyve had to go along with the escalation to look innocent....its weird they rarely make eye contact with the camera & always seem to look down, they look so guilty, even though maybe its guilt from leaving the kids alone.

I really cant warm to them two for some reason .. maybe its because neither of them have shown any emotion throughout the last few months. There body language is quite scary to watch.. or maybe as Chez says they feel guilty because they left her. God i would be one of the hysterical ones for sure in that situation but then again my baby would never be left to fend for himself. I read somewhere that there were reports, a couple of nights before she dissapeared, of a little girl shouting and sobbing "daddy daddy" for an hour between the hours of 9pm and 10pm.. which to me seems, she either cried herself back to sleep or they returned AND THEN did it again the following night. It really guts me to imagine her waking up and there being no mummy or daddy to comfort her in a strange place, a strange bed.. bless her.

Yes, it's all speculation. . . none of us really know anything apart from it was wrong to leave the kids unattended and that the little lass is missing.

The truth will out! Hopefully.

They recently washed her favourite cuddly toy over a 100 days after her disappearance....WHY?

Understand what u say re: media. When I was on summer hols my aunt was with us and she bought The Express every day and some of the stuff that was being printed in there was just all over the shop.

What Beaker says about the sobbing every night allegedly came from the woman who lives in the apartment above.

I have a 3 year old daughter, called Maddy too btw, and I would NEVER EVER leave her alone like these two did. I've struggled right from the start to understand/believe what their thought process was for doing that. That was an absolute disgrace to me .

There's so many unanswered questions. I'm an advocate for judgements made on balance and avoiding the media hype, but in this case and having kids myself its very very hard not to have an emotional response.

I cant help thinking of how the media and the public more or less sealed the fate of Linda Chamberlain (dingo baby case) by slating the way she acted in her press conferences, she wasnt upset enough, she has been too calm etc etc, funnily enough she is on tv in america tonight commenting on the Madeleine case.

been watching this on the news since it happened firstly i think its shocking that parents would leave their children alone whether they were only a few yards away or next door no child should be left alone and especially not in a foreign country - i personally had doubts about the mccanns i dont know whether it was because of them leaving their children alone while they went out or because i found things just didnt add up i couldnt warm to the parents at all - why take kids on holiday if ur gonna leave them alone in a room while u go out wine and dine - they shouldnt have taken them if thats what they were gonna do - if that had of been someone from a lower class background the papers wouldve crucified them
and if its true that they sedated their kids so they could go out for a meal and drink then their other 2 children shouldnt be left in their custody- it only takes a split second for a child to get hurt never mind a few hours
if i had children and left them alone to go for a meal and they were taken i would never forgive myself

i know they have had a child taken/killed who knows only them ,but i think that they should be locked up 4 leaving their kids alone .if they want 2 go on holiday to get pissed wid m8's then they should of left the kids with their family bac home .they should be made examples of , if it was a family on low income or single mom they wud of had the book chucked at em ,they should av the twins taken off em and put wid a family who would take proper care of them & not leave them at home when they want to go out .1 thing that i've noticed is that they aint shed a tear on t.v unlike the mom of the young lad who was taken from the shopping mall (rhys i think ) he's mom was in a rite state e.g sobbing ,tears in her eyes ,blood shot eyes ,lost weight ,looked pale , somthing that u aint seen the mccanns do ( i know they prob wont look pale being in the sun )

so in my opinion they should serve time behind bars no matter what the outcome is
