I'll just start by saying:
OMG!!! WHAT A NIGHT!!!!
Set off with the usual suspects about 9:00ish and got to the club in no time. Got there before 11:00 so it were free in not many ppl in but it was only early.
We all got our drinks and started off the night, the venue was a nice little bar, nice long bar big dancefloor then seating near the doors. Oh and a racing arcade game which me and hikkyb jumped straight on (gaz won)
Ppl were now slowly comin into the club, Rhythm FX was on the dex starting things off (and nicely i might add ) playin some nice piano tuneage inc. selector, fpi project and other italo beasties.
Time was now bout 11:30ish and the club was still a bit ded, but after a quick cig outside on my return into the club it was absolutely hammered!!! Everyone in there was well up for it
12:00 came and Matt Bell stepped up to the dex, playin a fooookin amazing set, not one shit tune . . . the whole place was bouncing around the club, the atmosphere was unbelievable . . . tunes of this set for me had to be soulmasters, derry hall, back to the future phones: first time i've heard matt dj in a club and it blew me away
Then after matt's set chris jumped on the dex with matt and started their b2b session. Pulling tune after tune after tune!!!! phones: each mix was more uplifting than the previous at this point the place was absolutely rammed and not one person was sat down, everyone was dancing their assess off phones:
Then chris baker went at it alone, starting his set off nicely with dynamic express - the next train phones: niiiiiiiiice
then the rest of chris's set took me by surprise, a set full of all mi fave synth tunes playing such beasts as:
inside out - keep on dancing
tom wilson - bounce your body
hurricane - power to jump
i was well smashed at this point and sweating like a baboon up on the stage, every tune that came on I held up a piece of paper that just simply said
TUNE
The crowd were loving it and so was I The only thing that i thought may have spoiled the night a bit was 3 MC's on :| but all 3 were spot on, doing there bit to get the crowd goin i little dribs and drabs . . . not over doing it
Big shouts to the OSAers that made the trip over:
