Hardfloor Remix, as imo, the original sounds weak, flat, and really dull :|

I spose its usually down to which version you heard first, I first heard the Hardfloor Remix, so of course I'm gonna love that :D

I have a copy of Clubhouse's 'I'm a man/Yeke Yeke' from 1988?

Not strictly a remix, more of a fusion

Is this rare?

Alway's liked this and the vocals still stick in my head

Regarding Mory Kante's Yeke Yeke - both great for their time, but if I had a choice in owning a copy it would be the original

Both are brilliant tunes in their own right.

Love the original, as it takes me back to my early acid house days, when the scene was just developing.
The Hardfloor remix is awesome though & better to dance to imho. There is a huge drawn out build up part way through (as with most Hardfloor remixes), where the 303 just burbles & squelches and grows forever and then just when you think you cant take anymore, the whole thing kicks back in - major chills moment and will defo take you head off!! :fekked:

As for Hardfloor, they do tend to be a bit formulaic, (as do most european squelchy acid knob twiddlers!) but when they hit the spot, they REALLY hit the spot! Stand out remixes for are Yeke yeke, Blue Monday - New Order, Circus Bells - Robert Armani & It`s No Good - Depeche Mode. - All contain big squelchy build ups & much twiddleage & tweaking of the old 303!phones:

This tune reminds me of being at Bowlers in the top left hand corner room (when it was Compulsion) this tune dropped and this bird heard the tune, started screaming, put her fingers in her ears and went into a corner, with her fingers still in her ears-till the tune finished :D My guess is she didnt like the tune...
