Only just picked up this thread but I think the most famous people I've met (in no particular order) are:

Arsene Wenger and some of the Arsenal players (me and my boyfriend used to live just round the corner from the hotel they used to camp out at before home games)
Rio Ferdinand and some of the Leeds players (when he bought Players Bar in Leeds and had a party)
Vinnie Jones (when he turned on the Christmas lights in Leeds)
George Best (me and my bf bumped into him having lunch in the Malmaison in Manchester)
A couple of ex-Emmerdale cast
And I gave a band a lift once in my car but its a bit hazy who it was - I think it was Love for Sale (but it was about 15 yrs ago so not entirely sure!!! :) )

I met Ted Robbins years ago on holiday at a caravan park in the lakes. It was in the club at night and after talking to him for a bit he invited me and my girlfriend to join him and his missus for the evening. He was proper funny and I ended up getting him absolutely slaughtered. Had a great laugh with them.

Richard Ashcroft - Used to invite us into his flat for a beer and jam session.

Going to Butlins every year as a kid, I met all the big comedians and entertainers on the circuit of those days after they'd performed. A lot of those had big tv shows too. Ken Dodd was the best of the bunch though, what a top guy he was:king:
