Hello everybody!! here

Firstly, thanx to butty for doin whatever he did that allowed me to finally start a new thread - very grateful.

Secondly, big apologies to Sweet for taking over some of her birthday thread (hope you had a gud un Sweet)
and thanx for not minding.

Thirdly, thanx to all who have welcomed me so far - so friendly! Hope to meet the rest of you now.

I live in Brooklands, Sale but originally come from Exeter (lol Pacman) but done all my clubbing up norf (well, most of it).

No sure what else you want to know, so any questions, feel free, I will attempt to answer them

One thing I want to hear about is Good Times - I keep hearing this mentioned - tell me more someone please!

Yeh, some of Brooklands is posh, some isn't - I live in about the middle. Put it this way, bought house at the right time, couldn't afford to buy it now .

I have a memory of Brooklands I just can't place it I seem to recall it being close to Davyhulme and Urmston? or am I way out?

Yep, Frank Sidebottom used to sing the jingle 'Radio Timperley' - never seen him there though.

No idea where Davyhulme is but Urmston is a fair few miles away (passed Stretford I think towards Manchester). I am also not too near Sale Water Park - although I have memories of that place after the clubs (when the service stations banned us)! - especially when someones car rolled in the water and sank

Been to some good parties in Swinton in my time! I will try and get to courtneys and also GT but got a broken collar bone and damaged shoulder just at the moment, so struggling to get around etc.

Already spending sooooo much time on here - got hooked very quickly - very addictive.

Slight worry though - I bet I am the oldest person here!!!!! I've been there, done that but not given up...... will I still be welcome? (young at heart though - and very blonde!) Never a good time to grow up.....

how old r ya? dont matter if u dont wanna say but weve got up 2 35 year olds on here i think (i may b wrong) but theres a lot of 25-35 year olds im 1 of the ruddy youngest wingin my way in at a measly 23

Well, put it this way, my parents were very happy the year England won the world cup!!! But hey, I'm still heavily into the tunes and have a vinyl collection to be proud of (DJ stylee) - 1210's too, although the Vestax mixer fekked up a long time ago. Hubby used them much more than me - he played at Bowlers once - and I danced on stage a good few times! VIP's don't you know!!

Good to see that XTC is playing at the next GT nite - have plenty of photos of him & Mix Factory at Sequins that he would rather forget!

You seem to doing fine with the posting lark!.

If you can get yourself up to Goodtimes, I'd highly recommend it!. I went to the last one (my first after joining the group in June) it was a blinder, top tunes and the peeps off here made me feel really welcome. All in all, a top night.

I'm sure you'll soon be addicted to the board, (like I am!!...)

If you're after decent old skool mixes, see the posts from Ste Huxley (yes, another shameless plug Ste!!!).

will have to catalogue the records one of these days - will let you know but I doubt I will ever be able to part with them..... so don't hold your breath would rather they were used though, than sat in the bottom of the wardrobe in boxes
