Someone pointed out a record cleaner to me the other day...where you spin it in fluid etc.

Never made me think about it before, but most my tunes are 25/30 years old , I've done sit loads of party's and some club with them ..bound to have gunk on them.

Has anyone used/got one....did it make any difference?

I brought one quite a few yrs back, even though it wasnt high end it deffo made a differance.
I also brought new inner sleeves.

This is the one I brought, it is time consuming though.

I clean mine as I re-record them, the cleaning is to an extremely high standard and I am able to take a really dirty record and return it back better than new.

I use a ultrasonic bath (which is great for loosening up dirt). Cloth dry and clean with my Loricraft which vacs the mud out of the grooves really well. Was never a fan of ultrasonic on its own but as a pre wash it is bloody amazing.

it is an expensive set up but paid for itself many times over with the occasional £50 collections dragged out of garden sheds etc which once cleaned are very presentable and play really well.

Any cleaning is usually better than none.
