Classic Mix !!!!!!!

No real surprises and not really an old skool mix, i just really like this one

first time i had heard the RITM mix of Inner City Life though, awesome

Stef Pako & Frederik - Seaside Atmosphere
Paul Van Dyk - Words
Visions featuring Diane Lyne - Coming Home (Sunday Club Mix)
Hong Kong Trash - Cactus Funk
Slacker - Scared
SNS - You Do Me Wrong [Violator Mix]
Goldie - Inner City Life (RITM mix)
AGH - Yummy
The Light - Panfried
LSG - Hidden Sun of Venus
Libra Presents Taylor Anomally - Calling your name (Granny Mix)
Clanger - Seadog
Paul Van Dyk - I cant feel it

i voted the classic mix  ill never ever forget hearing that tape for the 1st time loved it since the day i got it oct 1990 off my mates ex bird from huddersfield at charnock richards services ,that freezing sunday morning car ride home will live in my memories forever phones: phones: everytime i listen to it now i get wisked back in time to that passenger seat of my mates Orion 1.6i ghia totally mashed grinning like a cheshire cat :D

At the time the mixing on it was much better than the quad tapes i had and the tune selection was second to non in fact i made my lifes work to track down every tune off it which i only just managed 2 months ago:eek: ,IMO its got the lot plus no MCs:p his 2 copies mixing of liz torres - if u keep it up and his force legato system rmx into pierre feroldi movin now , plus all the accapellas black box over 4 for money , nicole over ghentlon to name but a few of my personal fav choice moments off it  ,

as for this radio 1 mix from ibiza 96 , thats my next fav sasha mix , real turning point in my life as thats the mix thats partly responsable for getting me passonately back into the music scene and i opened my 2nd record shop just a few months after hearing it...house music really is a feeling

all just shows how something as powerfull and simple as MUSIC REALLY CAN MOVE YOU and inspire you in different ways and help shape your life..

PS as for RITM they are amazing saw them perform live @ Bedrock in London bout 7 years ago was feckin AWWWESOME !!!! as those yanks like to say :p

Cant believe anyone who was actually there at the start could vote for5 anything post 91, the sheer mix of music styles, variation and inovation in Sash's early era was amazing and rasised above anyone else in the north west,
Why no shabbo mix as well?

Was Manchestoh, Now Yorkshire
controversial there my dearest shoomy. for those that know the man like "adapted" his style from two persons, steve being one of em and da silva being the other.things he omits from anecdotes bitd.
DAMO:D

He was in the right place at the right time wasnt he. Dave Seaman, who was Mixmag editor at the time iirc, and his cronies, were going to Shelleys when it took off, and bigged him up in the music press.

There is no shame in recognising and crediting your influences though, maybe one day he will

Where is Ripley Pillwall when you need him. He can chip in with the bendy cock story, come back RP, we miss you:D

When I posted this thread a while back it was really just a snapshot of the best mixes that I have heard him play. TBH its always going to be personal.;)

So if peeps don't think that the best sasha mix is one of these, why not just vote for the best mix in this list and let us know the sasha mix that YOU think is NO 1.

Surely its a no brainer:p

Ok, gone for Sasha @ NRG Eclipse seeing thats the only one ive heard on the list. Just for info other worthy in my opinion are:
* Sasha/Laurent Garnier-Eclipse.
* Sasha/Grooverider-Eclipse (constant companion on the way Smeatharpe 92).
* Sasha March 91-Eclipse (does anyone know which number sasha set this is? I think its Sasha 1-mc:"manchesters finest..dj sasha" etc).
