Hi,

What make is it (Blaupunkt, Clarion etc)? If you get the serial number off it (you have to take it out, the serial number is on the casing) I may be able to decode it. I have some software at the garage that decodes some (but not all) car stereos based on the serial number. If you don't fancy taking it out, and don't mind spending a bit of cash (usually about £25) then go into the nearest Renault dealership with your v5 document. They will tell you the code based on the reg number of the car, provided it is the standard stereo that came with the car when it was new. Let me know if you need me to decode it for you.

Mike.

number next to bar code is 8200057683tt375

model number is 22DC278/62H (PHILLIPS i think?)
PROD NUMBER FD0403090027406

ALSO SAYS

TOT375
R278F30027406

THANKS VERY MUCH FOR OFFERING, LET ME KNOW HOW YOU DO...CHEERS

Sorry bud - my software doesn't cover that model Philips - only the following:

570/670
SC201/804
349R660
752/751
711/401/722
661/882/352/579

and I don't think that includes yours. I've had loads of use out of it but haven't updated for a few years (costs loads), so it may be that yours is too new? Try searching on eBay for stereo unlocking codes, and email a few sellers to see if your model is covered. Other than that, it's a trip to Renault and (roughly) £25 - or you can buy a really nice JVC CD/MP3 player that lights up like a council house at Xmas for about £60 from Argoos. Good luck with it anyway.

Mike.

hello m8 i work at a renault dealership and the easiest way is to contact the selling dealer direct they shud have it on record under the cars details, also if u have the service and handbook for the car it usually is in the front of the service book for the car. hope that helps ya m8 if not then any renault dealer can access the code for u, at a cost, but that is the code for the original stereo fitted when built

I think the person we got the car off had put the cd player in as he gave us the old cassette one as well.
