smells fishy to me. Only 40 copies in existance and 12 of them happen to be owned by discogs users
I suppose it's possible. I was heavily into R&S when that came out (and Fierce Ruling Diva) and it certainly never made it into the record shops in Glasgow, so it might be true about the number.

I used to have a 12" copy of the Stone Roses - Fools Gold on clear Gold Vinyl! It got robbed out of my car in a crate along with a load of other stuff (including my signed copy of Urban Cookie Collectives - The Key, The Secret :$ )

I have looked in the usual places (Gemm, Ebay) and asked at various record fairs but no-one has ever seen one!

I'm not desperate to replace it - it would just be nice to know that I didn't just dream that I had it!

Cheers,
Si

The original release of Fools Gold is actually a B Side.

On the first release What Your Waiting For was the A side, it was rapidly deleted and re-released with Fools Gold as the A side cos it was so popular

Thats the only release with the limited edition print I think

Fred, have you got rips of that rare R&S release? They were putting out great stuff around that time

the gold fools gold crops up a lot on ebay. I got mine about 6 months ago off there. And secondly that R&S release is rare. If there wasn't many pressed that means its rare surely? lol

new order:- true faith eschreamer dub (only 15 copies exist!!!)
I'm not 100% but I think all copies of this Tall Paul remix on vinyl were a bootleg. I think it only came out on a very limited US record company only CD, along with a shed load of other remixes.

If you want the vinyl you may as well buy the Knights one, I'm sure it's on one of those.

its on a knights one .........? wow anyone know what number. Here is the info I have on the 12" promo...

Q: I've heard about some withdrawn remixes of True Faith-94, what's the story?
A: [Antoine] "The sheet included in my NUOXDJ6 said that Baker rediscovered Let's Go with Barney as they were on vacation. The sheet mentions NUOX6 to contain Lionrock Full Throttle Mix + Vanelli Remix on side A and True Faiht Eschreamer Mix + Dub on side B, NUOXDJ6 to contain Lionrock Full Throttle Mix + Sparse'n'Fast Mix on side A and Vanelli Mix + Dub on side B, and NUXXDJ6 to contain True Faith Eschreamer Mix on side A and Eschreamer Dub on side B. The Escreamer mixes were remixed by Tall Paul.
A Tall Paul remix exists on the CD CreamLive. For some reason his remixes were recalled and never officially released.
An ad in Record Collector listed a white label testpress of True Faith "white label test press 12" - only 15 existing copies - remixes by Tall Paul". Hence, the very first copies of NUXXDJ6 contains the Escreamer mixes and was withdrawn and re-pressed with the usual Lionrock mixes..."

It's a very very very rare tune that im after, and if i acctualy get it, it would be worth more than a winning lotto ticket even could do for me

It's a Northen Soul classic played by only the very top of there dj's at wigan pier back in the 70s

Just Brothers - Sliced tomatoes

Extreemly rare tune to get original press of, and like Nthans tune, there are only around 7 copies known in the world to date. Norman Cook has two of them, so that leaves five golden tickets out there left

This tune is why Norman cook called his 97 hit "Funk Soul Brothers" his Bohemium Rapsody, it samples the tune as it's backing to the track to the song, and knowing the fact that he owns 35% of the original copies, it was pritty safe to say not many people where gonna be able to re-mix it

i would swap my life for a copy of the original, and have been searching for it the past 24 years now......i don't suppose anyone.....nar i guess not:(

Never knew that there were only 7 of those Jaxxy, that's really interesting. Is it up there with Frank Wilson in terms of the price? Its a tune and a half. Norm didn't do a great deal to it either. There's tons of Northern Soul tunes dying for a house touch up. I'm surprised there are n't a lot more out there. I don't mean murdering them, it needs someone with a bit of loving care to be faithful to the original. Biskit was on about the flasher a while back, wonder if he ever had a go. :D

why not console yourself with a couple on a 12" it features on both the 'a break from the norm' compilation and also 'all back to mine'. I have both these albums. Lots of other great tracks on there
