That is definatly not right init!! Yikes, all this time and it could actually have been the parents! She is a doctor after all, i wonder if they gave the poor little girl too much sedative?? went back to check on her and found her dead?? Oh christ the mind boggles

its almost unimaginable - how are they going to explain this one? is that true about the sedatives?

been watching this on the news since it happened firstly i think its shocking that parents would leave their children alone whether they were only a few yards away or next door no child should be left alone and especially not in a foreign country - i personally had doubts about the mccanns i dont know whether it was because of them leaving their children alone while they went out or because i found things just didnt add up i couldnt warm to the parents at all - why take kids on holiday if ur gonna leave them alone in a room while u go out wine and dine - they shouldnt have taken them if thats what they were gonna do - if that had of been someone from a lower class background the papers wouldve crucified them
and if its true that they sedated their kids so they could go out for a meal and drink then their other 2 children shouldnt be left in their custody- it only takes a split second for a child to get hurt never mind a few hours
if i had children and left them alone to go for a meal and they were taken i would never forgive myself

danny ive been watching it on the news and i agree with u they must have to have evidence - its gerry mccann i dont trust he never lets his wife speak its either that or the portugese authorities dont want anymore glare on them as maybe its putting tourists off with the amount of media attention this has got or the mccanns have something to do with it - tbh nothing shocks me anymore - but dna found five weeks later in a hired car - must mean theres some kind of evidence -and why did they fly home so sudden after they were named as official suspects - theres still so many questions that need answered - maybe we will never find out -

I personally dont believe a word of it...the only reason imo that they have been declared suspects is because they had announced that they were planning to leave portugal and the police didnt want then to get back here and reveal what a total cock up they have made of the whole thing from start to finish, so to silence them they have made them suspects effectively gagging them....as for the dna evidence pppfff, its probably been transfered from one of their own bungling officers using the same gloves after handling something of madelines. That first press conference that the mccanns did (off their own back) kate said something that only a mother in her position would say (and deffo not if she had killed her own child) and that was 'Dont scare her' that really hit home for me....you only have to read about the child abuse scandal that rocked Portugal sometime back to see how corrupt some high up people are over there. as for someone asking about dna, twins share the same dna as each other (identical twins) the only way you can distinguish twins apart (apart from fingerprints) is from testing their blood to find out about childhood diseases say one twin had chickenpox at sometime and the other didnt that would show. Also dna can become confusing if for example the dna evidence you find comes from someone who comes from a small village etc where people marry closely related (cousins etc) and are all related in someway, it narrows down the % (in court they would claim that the dna is 2 billion (or whatever the number would be) to one to be from such and such a person, well this percentage would be very much smaller) well thats what ive read anyhow! Anyway back to the mccanns if the PJ had enough evidence why didnt they just arrest them there and then and not let them leave.....?

Regarding the DNA samples found in car

Although, like I mentioned earlier, I personally have little respect for the McCanns......, in their defence, DNA can exist on something/someone for up to six weeks or longer (something along that time scale anyway, might not be exact) So the DNA could have come from anything, toys, clothes etc.. Apparently, according to scientists, if a decomposing body had been dumped in the back seat of the car, it would be absolutely riddled with DNA, not just small traces...

Although.... forensics are not specifying what they've actuallty found in the car seat yet, so it could possibly be not DNA, but possibly traces of drugs etc...

If twins are identical (coz they come from the same egg) then they have the same DNA

identical twins, formed when one fertilized egg splits, are the only people in the world with identical DNA.

BUT, they certainly wouldn't have the same DNA as their sister. If Madelines DNA has been found then it will be definately hers and not her siblings as she is not a twin.....

I'm undecided on this one. There's so many cases where people come on TV making appeals, sobbing their hearts out and it turns out to be them, but on the other hand, you just don't want to believe that a parent would want to kill their own child.

Until some hard evidence, a body alive or dead etc, is found then I'm quite alright to sit on the fence as to what may have happened. It's shit this, it really is but I hope whatever the outcome it gets sorted as soon as.....

Not convinced with the DNA in the car thing,surely the police would have been keeping tabs on the mcanns since day one,where do you hide a 5 week old corpse in a foreign country in that heat?the condition of the body would have been badly decomposed an the smell would have been unbearable...the police must have been suspecting them for a while so they couldnt just "pop off" to get rid of the body could they so dunno the plot thickens..hope she`s ok an some evil bastard paedo ring aint got her...whoever its i wouldnt 10 mins in room with em meself..cos if it was one of my kids............

very soon and they know it and thats why they came back after saying "they would stay until she was found". I've read some dodgy things tonight. The resort had babysitters, kid centers etc. The mccanns combined salary is estimated at £300k and they chose this resort because it was kid friendly. What difference does it make if you don't fork out for a babysitter. Fishier than a haddocks swimming costume. I feel there is more and more evidence to come out. The mccanns came back in the hope of avoiding extradistion.
