Sometime 1977-78 would do me to - saw some footage on YouTube recently from inside Studio 54, which sounds awesome if you turn up the volume on a home stereo system. Very similar thumping bass as you would get inside a house place back in the day, except its awesome disco tuneage.

1990 was the year for me house-wise, though really from 84' until first half on 92' was a glorious period

I think im going to have to have studio 54 theme for my 40th when it comes round lol - will have to check out that on youtube

for me the best has to be 89, the year I got into house and going to the Hac. 1990 and 91 are a close second and third, 92 was also great with some fantastic soulful vocal Hac anthems coming from that year. most things post 93 leave me cold, and I think creativly ideas deteriate after that year, top tunes became less frequent and the spontiniety of the previous era was lost, ie most of the origianl generation had moved on

Just reconsidered, I think 69/ 70 were also a particualry interesting time, think sanctuary and Francis Grasso. I simply love loads of dance/rock from this era, Santana, the first chicago LP, Titanic, blood sweat and tears ect. twas also a great time for soul and funk with producers like Norman Harris comning to the fore.
