ive got a feeling im gonna wake up over the weekend or early next week and find all file sharing sites closed down at this rate i wouldnt mind but not everything that is shared on there is breaking any laws at all the nets getting less and less enjoyable now a days with all these rules....but i guess they will be someone else that will bring another file sharing site up and running

This is going to be interesting.

They have arrested the owner of Megaupload (now worth 27 million apparently) and this will no doubt turn out into a long and expensive legal battle.

If he loses and is sent to prison I reckon similar sites will simply shut down themselves.

Megauplaod could just be the start of the clampdown by the authorities, of course.

I bet there is a lot of very nervous site owners out there.

i think there was alot more to it than a sharing site though Barrie, he was found in a safe house with a sawn off, 25 cars, with regs such as, MAFIA STONER HACKER and on his own roller GOD. im no law man by any means but surely providing a site where people can share photos home movies and the likes with friends and family around the globe is fine, but if people abuse it does that mean the site owners have comited a crime. i think they will get off or there will be allsorts of other things the gang have been upto that they get charged with.

Reckon that question will take a few lawyers and many court room hours to answer.

Didn`t know about the rest of the stuff Leaky.

Adds a bit of spice to the saga.

ohh according to the press they were up to all sorts, mainly money laundering, but im sure a few adverts on a sharing site doesn't pay for all his assets, but who am i to judge :hubba:

file sharing sites theres nothing wrong in my own opion cause not everything on there is breaking no law and if they did come back maybe have it limits on ya uploads for each file so it stops films getting on and maybe having it 600meg each file that would stop alot of ya films getting on there and big music albulms exc theres ways of doing it
