Reet, that is a proper upgrade, by far the best technics availabe, Technics 1200 mkII.
Forget the lesser 1210, the 1200 is superior in every way
Got offered some mkIV's which are extremely rare even here however how often would you need 75rpm and are hifi plugs really needed.

Looks absolutely beautiful. My mate has a pair of the gold plated limited edition 1210s but they look better.
