Sorry people, the team we're away last week, skiing in Andorra, we were updated every coupla hours & we knew there was a lot of attitude on saturday night & it broke my heart being too far away to do anything about it, I'd be interested to know whether it was just last week when there were problems or whether its each & every week that you feel there is a lot of attitude.

Reading all the comments has devastated me to be honest & the door policy is to get an awful lot tighter for we cant be having people coming out for a good time feeling threatened, cos that just isn't on. I'd rather close the club than have you's feeling like that.

We do apologise whole-heartedly & I guarantee ya its gonna be a long time until i go on holiday again!! Prescha re-opens this week, so they can have all the dickheads. Stick with us guys, we assure you this is no more than a temporary blip, we've a meeting with the owners of Denvers tomorrow & i'm gonna take a print out of all your comments & demand that something is done about the door which was obviously lax.

Please PM me with any gripes, ideas & comments, cos we value them!!

Carl.

to be honest, i've not been every week so i cant speak for the nights i've not been there, but every time i have been there has been a bigger "scally" crowd each time. as easty said for some reason oldskool attracts the dickheads and you will never escape it fully.but on saturday, that was the worst i've seen in any club for a long long time, reminds of that V2 volante in stockport, went there once, never again!! i just hope that that was just a blip like u said mate, and its not put too many normal people off! already there is familiar faces there and it proves that people are coming back again and again, and the majority of them are having a top nite!
the venue is dark and has an underground feel, bar staff are good ( especially the 2 dancing girls  lol) and the tunes are certainly pumping, so hopefully you're right mate!
without the idiots its defo the best saturday nite out in town  phones: phones: phones: phones: phones: phones:

Yeah! There was moments in there on saturday that made me feel very uncomfortable. If we didnt have the option of escaping upstairs for a bit at the end it was all gonna go off on the way out definitely I got that feeling. I went to the bog once and got completely eyeballed on my way back. There was some proper nobs in there that just wanted trouble and i have my doubts about goin again. But Ive had so many good nights in there so far since we started goin that it would be such a shame to have to jib it spesh with our own doods behind the wheels and the line-ups are looking mint for the future events! Right at the end there was a section of people stood at the bar staring over at our lot and considering there was 3 incidents with them having a pop at our lot when we hadnt done a dicky bird then there was deffo summat gonna go down and if i see them in there again its gonna be the same. I mean look at our crew - theres never been any trouble ever from our lot we just gop out to buzz off the people and the tunes - dont wanna be lookin over ya shoulder all night or lookin out for ya mates coz ya worried about anyone comin over and handing them off in the face or punchin em which was happening on sat. :(

On a lighter note - I had a brill night up apart from all that - was jumpin about everywhere and buzzed off all our crew lovin it and tunes were varied and mint! Think i'll have a break from it tho for a bit and give it a try again hoping that its all fixed. The first few events were top IMO - no bad attitudes then and less trouble. The OSA xmas do was also safe as!

Gotta say carl  for replying mate. I know from wat ya said ya werent there and i ave been to a few nights now but i aint seen it that bad in ages man. I prolly will come back spesh to support our lads but something does need doing. Its not always about getting the most amount of peeps in its about keeping ya regulars happy so they will return or slowly but surely you will end up with a club full of wankers and i am sure ya dont want that and i know we dont

Cheers mate

Thanks for the support guys & we all know that the tunes are spot-on & the line-ups we've planned are sick, so we've gotta root this problem out now, cos if we dont, we might as well not bother puttin the night on, cos we dont wanna be known as a night for muppets & we're trying our best to get the proper clubbers in week in-week out. I'll be on the door this weekend & it'll be a million times harder for any of these muppets to get in the door.

We feel we've got the potential for this to be a night to be proud of & keep the faith please people, cos i'm not prepared to let these pricks spoil it for everyone....

Take it easy y'all & I hope to see ya's (& let ya's get the beers in ;) ) in the near future!!!

Nice one...

Carl.

Back from the meeting with management this morning, the results of which are:

(a) everyone is to be searched at the door (boy & girl)
(b) 8 bouncers instead of 6.
(c) A woman Bouncer.
(d) No groups of more than 4 lads.
(e) No big daft gold chain crew.
(f) A door picker to eliminate the muppets. (Me) :cops:
(g) A complete change-around in the door staff...cos they just aint strong enough.

All we want is for people to feel safe & enjoy the music, if there isn't a genuine change in the way people feel in there by the end of February then there's no point even opening in March.

Please keep all ideas coming, cos its been nice to hear the customers point of view & I look forward to some amazing nights in the coming months!!!

See ya's all at Timeless this friday, take it easy....Carl.

Hi Carl...

Fair play to you Babe.. I was so horrified after Saturday Nights little adventure, I can quite Honestly say that I'm soooo impressed with your attitude here!! :D

Manchester has lost the majority of "Bang On Old Skool Clubs" there just ain't none left anymore. (Well apart from Timeless which is only once a month)

You have a real oppertunity to make a killing here! The North West Old Skool Krew need somewhere Local and Denvers has without a doubt got potential!!

So to read what you have put on here, Has made me feel that Yes I will come back again to give you guys the benefit of the doubt!! I just hope that we can fully hold you to each statement that you have posted on here!!

As for getting the beers in.... "Your Round Pal!!!" :p

Without sounding too cliched, Rome wasn't built in a day.

There was a far better atmosphere in there than the previous week (not that this was hard) We turned away around a hundred people for not being 'right' in one way or another & to go from the shambles of the previous week to perfect the next was what we all wanted, but highly unlikely.

Claire, you were there, i'd be interested to hear if you thought there was an improvement. Unfortunately there was one incident, which was quickly sorted out & the world we live in there will be incidents in the future unfortunately, but its our job to ensure these are kept at a minimum, it was a major improvement on the week before, not perfect by any stretch but a HUGE improvement in my eyes. Correct me if i'm wrong of course.
Believe me, everything that wasn't perfect will be for next week, we eliminated a lot of the useless doorstaff this weekend & it'll be even better for everyone(as near to perfect as poss) for SlipMatt & XTC this weekend.

Stick with us people, we're all after the same goal...Of having a weekly saturday night to be proud of!!

Nice one.

Carl.

Your Doorstaff were still crap mate, if they had done their job in the first place there would have been no brawl. it was a SLIGHT improvement on the previous week, as you lot werent there the week b4, i dont know how you can say it was a huge improvement, because it wasnt! we still had to use the upstairs toilets because it was too sketchy going to the downstairs ones, and i didnt see any of the regular people that were there in previous weeks at all barring us lot.
yet again the tunes and majority of the crowd were spot on, but why the lights were turned on at 3 o clock again is beyond me.????
i realise that u and cam are trying your hardest to keep the idiots out, but you need to be far stricter on the door, what is the point of searching people for weapons when there is bottles readily available to be thrown about???? as your bouncer found out in the worst possible way!! and me and jenni nearly did too
yet again, another top nite was spoiled by a handful of idiots  and a disgruntled bouncer, who is quite clearly in the wrong job...wheres the w@nker smilie butty????

Well i'm gutted Woody, I really thought that we'd made a few positive steps, we'll get there for next weekend though, we have to.

The lights were switched on at 3 because the trouble had just happened & we didnt want a repeat of last weekends problems where the trouble just seemed to snowball & there were ideas to close the club at 3. But on discussion we had already identified the trouble makers & they had already been ejected & the night went on, admittedly turning the lights on wasnt the most professional thing to do, but we're trying to provide the safest environment for everyone.

We're doing our best to take this night forward & we're not about to let a mindless minority stop it for the rest of us, we've a massive line-up this weekend & it really will be the 'acid test' for us, but give us a chance, you have my word that we wont let ya down, if anyone feels threatened at any time during any night of ours, please, please come & see me & I will see that this is quickly rectified, you guys are the reason we open every week, so that the genuine lovers of the scene have somewhere to go every weekend.

Take it easy.
Carl
