Sounding good this. Never thought a decent old skool night could be pulled off in Manchester these days due to scallys.

Barefoot in the head - What a quality tune that is. :D

Sorry I havent reviewed earlier as I havent been to well the last few days.

Anyway - what a boss night !

Really enjoyed the tunes I heard everyone play and was boss to put names to faces off the board like milenko and steadmanscott :)

Hope the night goes from strength to strength and thanks for getting hazy on.

Wished I would have played some later tunes than I did in my set - apologies for clearing the room at one point . Oh Well ;)

Looking forward to the next one ;)

Oh yeah just thought on as well - Im absolutely fuming about that fella in the R&S t-shirt - first time I would have got a chance to lay my kung fu moves and I missed out ;) Congrats to Mart and Mick for handling and sorting it out though.

Thanks to everyone who visited the hazy room :)

The bloke with tatoos on his face is nicest man you could ever meet...I can see what you are saying but don't always judge a book by it's cover.

Were'nt hac tunes...like what????? The only tunes that I heard was Nomad at about 1:50am.

Most of music was 88 - 90!!! Is that why you didn't know it?
Hi there,

No it's not an age thing I can assure you mate ;) am an old bird meself!! lol. I think it's all because I was there really early and had to leave after about half an hour due to miserable friends wanting to get off so we didn't really have chance to get into it or to hear more than 8-10 tunes. :(

As for the tat bloke, I was jokin about bein scared, if I can be mates with butty, I'm not scared of owt !! Lol. There's a bloke who is covered head to toe in tats who hangs round Camden Market charging £1 to have your pic taken with him and he's ace. I have tatoos myself so am deff not anti them.

I was just putting my opinion across and my opinion was that I personally didn't hear any Hac tunes while I was there.

Town
Apologies to anyone who got invited to a "top party" at the nearby Danny C "towers". Seem to remember inviting a wad of people back and then just leaving at 3.45 ish with Bigwet, going back to the flat and really rock and rolling it up looking at some photo's before falling asleep.

Rock on

Sniffing glue........again!
i had a fab night from start to finish!!!!! :D

Went to the faithless gig and met up with CANO and crew and tickle, got pretty much right to the front which was fab, didn't stop bouncing practically the whole time (except when i HAD to go for a wee!!!!!!!) and nearly cried when they did we come one, both times i've seen them now that tune has given me goosebumps all, and i do mean all, over!!!!

The quote of the night came from my little mum, bless her, she was taking a painkiller before the concert and she said in a little mum voice "i hope nobody thinks i'm popping E's!!!" I have never laughed so much in all my life!!!!! The irony being that everyone around her was!!!! Don't think she clocked that though.

Went over to North but wasn't mad keen on the atmosphere really so wandered over to music box with woody and jen, as soon as i walked in the atmosphere there was amazing, i really do love that place it's fab!!! :D Met up with the usualls and a few others, nice to meet Jay and Sam for the first time. Thoroughly enjoyed Pauly P's attempt at "Off yer 'ead DJing, good effort matey and ten out of ten for the t-shirt, that really was pure quality. :king:

Then back home with Fanny where the partying carried on for at least another 20 mins or so. :p

Well done to all those involved in getting the night together, you've done well and i'm dead proud of you. Especially to Jammer man and Pauly of course, you two boys deserve an extra special cogratulations, you're both superstars

Strange that, as I played at that time and they were ALL hac tunes lol

What years did you go to the Hacienda pray tell?

:axe:

As I said previously Scott, the only tunes that were played that weren't Hac was when the lady wasn't present!!! Maybe it is a different Hacienda.....

Also another point at that time there were alot less records of that genre around about at that time...everybody played virtually the same tunes albeit different mixes..

Nail on the head there Butty, funny description the "Hac" tune is, most people I know think of house / hip hop acid stuff from 87-91, mainly from the Nude and Hot night eras, but on recent revival tours P&P have played a cross section of stuff from old Hip Hop / Disco to mid Ninities house..

And greyeds right, Park in particular used to favour particular mixes of tracks that mightve been played elsewhere under another guise.., but there are certain tunes that are bang on Hac records like Cuban Gigolo and the like

One thing is for certain, anyone putting on a Hac night shouldnt go down the garage route of Parkys Saturday nights (yaaaawn..IMHO)

Sorry, Im waffling and very bored today

Well I played that so there was at least one Hac tune on Friday then....;)

Funnily enough I was thinking of you (in a manly musical sense obviously :| ) when I played Urban Nature - "Get On The Floor". I've only played that out once before at Hazy and not sure if it went that well, but when I dropped it on Friday there were a few people were like - "woarrrrrrgggggghhhh!" - I'd never heard it until I had access to some of the P&P sets so to me thats a Hac tune too, but a top top reaction for that one regardless...

Best reaction of the night tho for me was NWA - Express Yourself. Now if thats not another Hac tune then....HELLLLLLLLOOO

Agree tho that: Park + Mid 90's Garage = .... .....:naughty: ....:cops:

;)

Aye he was putting me and my mates on a rite downer when it was his turn on the decks at the new years day doo. Pickering was just getting it going building it up then park would come on and ruin it imo.
