Dancing on the nearest podium!
First on my list would be Base, Face etc with Homer and McCready at the art college then a close second would be 7th heaven/the venue after the art college, plus the cavalcade that ended up in some field for the rest of the morning.

Soul @ Ulster hall was good too. As was Tokyo Joes and Circus circus.

MAXIMES
I had some of the best ever nights in my entire life just behind the cage at the back of the dancefloor. I used to have my own 2 foot by 2 foot square where I danced all night on the last Saturday of every month for about 8 years.
People go on about all these clubs that were the best and so imprtant but imo maximes is most responsible for keeping the old skool sound alive in manchester

Great thread revival.

Without doubt for me the best club in the UK was Monroe's 90-91. It was a tiny club, but absolutely every last person in there (pretty much without exception) was totally off their nuts.

The music was ace and the atmosphere was breathtaking. Better than any warehouse party I went to.

The worst club for me would have to be Monroe's 93-04. What a shithole! My goodness that place went rough.

not sure if this link will work but if it does you can see why the Quadrant Park was the best for me :D

this was taken in 1990 the original summer of love;) and you can buy it from the quadrant park website, its on for about an hour and a half, it will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and i promise you if you haven't seen it a must for any old skool fanatic

believe it or not the Quad reunion last month resembled that clip and that is no joke,: 1700 30+ year olds just going mental:D it was the best night out i've had in 15 or so years and everyone who went agreed. its hard to imagine but it some how regained the vibe from back in the day.

IT WAS INCREDIBLE:thumbsup:

jaw-dropping wow factor the second I stepped through the door

Passion in Coalville, for having the friendliest and best atmosphere I've ever experienced in any club ive been to over the years. Be it regulars or randoms. Energy in the crowd was fantastic and the end of the nights were always awesome for that "one more!!!!" factor too. Looking over the balconies onto the crowd going absolutely nuts below, even when all the lights were up made me rush / tingle like mad  Plus I will always have an affinity for the place as it was there i met some of the people who are very special to me, and I count amongst my closest friends, even now.
I'm speaking in terms of about a decade ago, back in its early days, cant speak for the place nowadays as I havent been for ages...its almost like I dont want to taint my memories if its not the same any more, if that makes sense.

Honorary mention has to go to Wobble in Birmingham for the memories of mad missions and nights there

Awww i'm all nostalgic now  :D
