Hacienda for that

jaw-dropping wow factor the second I stepped through the door

Passion in Coalville, for having the friendliest and best atmosphere I've ever experienced in any club ive been to over the years. Be it regulars or randoms. Energy in the crowd was fantastic and the end of the nights were always awesome for that "one more!!!!" factor too. Looking over the balconies onto the crowd going absolutely nuts below, even when all the lights were up made me rush / tingle like mad Plus I will always have an affinity for the place as it was there i met some of the people who are very special to me, and I count amongst my closest friends, even now.
I'm speaking in terms of about a decade ago, back in its early days, cant speak for the place nowadays as I havent been for ages...its almost like I dont want to taint my memories if its not the same any more, if that makes sense.

Honorary mention has to go to Wobble in Birmingham for the memories of mad missions and nights there

My GF was a regular there and speaks of Passion in the same way as you (I talk about the Eclipse the same way).

I myself only went there for the first time in September last year for Storm (I know, not strictly Passion), and I can say that it still has that really friendly vibe that you talk of

the best club / night's I've been to in this order
the gallery ( leeds ) kaos / soak ( leeds ) phenomena ( brid ) zone @ jenkes bar ( 91 ) all were top atmosphere's don't think i ever had a bad night in one ov those places .
they were all top places in their own way and all the different people who went to the club's they made all the clubs different .

God i miss these places

Funny enough went down to Clacton this evening with my kids and the old nightclub on the pier is now a 'Haunted Mansion' ride lol. If only they knew what went on in there...that really was scarey lol.

I have to say Cleos in Wolves..1990-1992..Love Revolution, On the last night John Kelly dropped All Join Hands everyone in the whole club was joining hands Wicked Era that was Everyone knew each other in that club.......Loved It

Ive been to clubs too many clubs in my life span and had the most amazing times up and down the country even abroad... But after all my adventures and visitings.... Well when it comes down to it, there aint no place like home....

The best nights Ive experinced the first being in our north west quarter... HazyDayz at The Zanzibar of course ... Along with Good ole GT at The Afterdark in Morley and a bit more recently a few nights out at Joy at Mission in Leeds...

But as Ive said there aint no place like home... Hazy is where the heart is!

Last time I went was Mllenium Eve. I've set foot in the club itself only twice since but both times werent for Passion nights.
When they first started out they couldnt afford anything fancy , no big name DJ's nothing like that, they just had residents / promoters who really had their hearts in the place , its just in some random little mining town in Leicestershire , and it was a right breath of fresh air having something decent close to home for once, Leicesters not exactly renowned for kickin' nightlife, back then or now. :|
So friendly, that was the key, like a big family, everybody would talk to everybody, and the atmosphere in the chillout room was dead relaxed too as it had a huuuge bed in the middle so it was always enough of a icebreaker everyone piling on that together, all lolling about in a right state
It just had all the right ingredients

When they started doing Storm on Fridays too that was just the same in all respects except the music policy, the vibe was still as wicked .

mine personally would be the eclipse cos me n my mates from evesham used to go there every week for about 2-3 years,seen alot of good djs there and the vibe was great in there,i hear they have changed it once again.

Cant fault you there, I TOTALLY agree. Ive forgotten more that I can remember about that place - fookin ace it was. Made so many friends there that are still good mates now. Ahhh, those were the days!

Hippo's Re-union@Maximes back in 94, first time i got to hear 90-92 era tunes played out..

but my bestest ever club was Havok@Club Phoenix 95/96-99 every other friday for the acid
