Sorry for the lateness of my review... its been a mad week !!

Anyway back to hazy....

Started off on the Friday with me stopping all 3 lanes of the M6 .... but thats another story :| Got to my house and the lovely brummie (Mike) was in full work clothes giving it quaffs on the carling. He buzzed off me as I told him about my exploits with Colin and Roger (the Traffic Police) who had been driving buddies all their life, ex cops who where like the cheshire equivalent of Starsky and Hutch.

Later on the man like brixtonite turns up... what a top bloke.... brings loads of random sweets that taste like monkey poo ... nice one fella ;)

Anyways to Hazy....

Had an absolutely fantastic weekend... Got the club a little late as I had to pick up some "southerners".... namely MrNex, Mouse, Placid and Hardcore General ;) Apologies for my poor directions :|

Got to the club just as tag was mid way through his set for upstairs.... class once again tag... you never fail to deliver. Also caught some of shauns set downstairs - you looked like you really enjoyed it :)

Have to say really loved the back to back with Grover (Mick) and Mr Nex (Mark). Think the best thing about it was being able to dance to all the tunes that where being dropped... one of which stood out for me for various reasons - essence of a dream. Thought the mixing from Mick and Mark was superb and hope the crowd enjoyed it too - I know I did.

Who better to follow than Mr Andy Carroll - dropping some of my favs once again - I was a little erm.... and it was great to hear humanoid and phuture dropped.

Next up Robbie Edwards.... what a top fella..... i kissed him when he played Ten City and cried when he played Sterling Void its alright.... a couple of moments where had on the dancelfoor and I loved it.

Also managed to pop downstairs for a few mins to see Tag playing Nasty Rhythm which went down a storm :)

Who else have I missed ??? Oh yeah my looney toons himself Vertigo.... I love ya to bits you mad man ;)

I didnt get to catch any of Mike Knowlers set or the end with Mick and Mart... but the club was bouncing and I know all the dj's pulled out all the stops to make hazy music special.

My second to last thankyou's go to all the people who make hazy what it is.... what can you say .... a club full of people who love the music as much as you do.... thats what hazy has always been about for me and I hope will continue to be. Its not about what you are wearing or where you are from... its about a love for the music.

Monster mash was to be had after hazy that lasted until Monday.... what a perfect end to a perfect weekend

My final thankyous to the messy crew :

Ste, JoJo, Paul, Mick, Shaz, Tim, Mikeee, Lisa, Mark, Shaun and Paul (Placid), Ad(HG) and Paul (Wikkid)

Cya all next month.

Mart... good luck in your future and all you do... best of luck to you Ruth and Maddy

Been heavy at work, hence delay - but been buzzing all week from the weekend… here goes - bit of a jackanory :$ that rambles a bit, but you get the idea…

All went without hitch getting over - thanks to RichieMac for his Friday night hospitality as usual, and Paul for running us about in The Hearse (it’s a darker version of the car out of Ghostbusters!), and Wikkid Paul for the Aapbook :D Friday night was, as usual, late and messy. Mikeee had already arrived and he n Dodgy had been hammering the ales. I got stuck in too, can't really remember much about it other than crashing out big time at daft o clock.

Up n at em on Saturday - into town to buy a load of sh*t, to Zanzi's to move a few bits n pieces about and then back to Dreamgirl n Dodgyscouser's place to shower in advance of the arrival of Mr Nex, Hardcore General and Placid.

All arrived en masse at Hazy early doors ready for ShaunC on the decks downstairs… we all got stuck in to the bevvies and I was already primed for the night with that mix of 33 1/3 Queen's Searchin (Sir Chin) phones: phones: phones: phones: on the red vinyl Ram Raid EP (top piece of plastic that). Murphy and I had a good boogie  whilst everyone else was standing around. Shaun was ripping it large, ya melons - fark it, get on the floor and cut some shapes - doesn't matter that no one else is around :O)

After a brief interlude with some Fosters supplied by Tag (drank in front of the bar manager of course) and a chinwag with Shaz, Nowthen, SaySay, LeeFantazia, Milenko, Keely, Nics, few others I forget (soz), it was time to move upstairs for the back to back sesh. By this point I was :fekked: too… as well as the majority of other early arrivals (coughmikeeecough), and decided the best option would be to take up position on the table by the back of the Attic and darrrrnce, darrrrrnce, darrrrrnce! :p I don't think I moved much from this point all night… venturing off the table when a chooooon kicked in and I was concerned I might fall down… or hit my head on that wooden joist that sticks out by the skylight  (ouch).

All the regulars were there  good to see the OSA contingent as usual, Cano, Woody, SJ and the rest plus Debs, Pisser, Mesh, her Dave and the Lads (having it large big time - good work), Judderz, PaulyP, SweetSens, Soda Jules, TK Tonny and Elvis who were back on form (pity TK had work next day), Happ33 the shape thrower and t'other Paul, Shooms, plus WeeSpeccy who made the journey down from Scotland  good to see ya pal. Not forgetting Mouse(maid) who made the journey up from darn sarf, and Neil Konspiracy - good to meet ya. Can't believe the number of OSA that were there that I didn't get to see - prob cos downstairs was far too hot for me :S . I've missed loads of names out and I'm sorry… :$ Hello to Ian Streetboy… lad, you looked like you were enjoying yourself  :fekked: and that’s the idea. Got a boss piccy of you with your eyes halfway to Greenland hahaha. Noice work.

The back2back sesh in the Atticwas rather special - Dreamgirl :) Pluto ;) and Mr Nex :ba: some killer tracks being dropped left right and centre… was wicked when Shaz and I caught each other's eyes when Lhasa V1 The Attic was dropped  (who was that again)… has to be the Hazy Upstairz anthem that one - and whoever it was deffo had it ramped about +7, good work :O) Tag was doling out the stormers downstairs, nice n relaxed after a belly full of ale - he'd been on it since early doors - full credit lol. Didn't catch much of Vert or MK or AC as I was upstairs...Robbie E ripped it too - couldn't stop having it large. I think I even let off a few whooops for good measure (hmmmm). Shaun only managed to drop a few in the last 30 mins as they wanted us all out of the club sharpish. In between arriving and leaving managed to work up a hell of a heat :S it was a little hot for me that evening - prob cos I couldn't stop dancing. I suggested that I might get off about 2am to cool down, which was met with somewhat disapproving looks… I tried to sit down and chill, but it wasn't possible - the choons wouldn't let you stop phones:  Caught a couple from Mart at the end… I'll take this opportunity to again wish you and your family all the best down south.

Bearing in mind everyone hadn't exactly laid off the naughties  you would have thought the after mashup would have been a quiet affair. How wrong could you be. Notwithstanding the mountain of ale that had been provided for us, there was a never ending supply of preshus fings that kept being magicked out of pockets. Yum Yum. Time just flew past, testament to either the fact that no one can remember what occurred, or everyone was having a boss time, or BOTH. Particular thanks to Nex for re-introducing me to the delights of cleansing one's nostrils with vodka, and to Dreamgirl for agreeing that it would indeed be great entertainment to watch (namely two people with streaming eyes for a couple of minutes). Oh - and crushing anything that’s not already in useable form is plain wrong - that goes out to Hardcore Gen and Nex. Nutters. :fekked:

The level of complete tosh, random shite and bollocks that was either being talked, enacted, or definitely thought was off the cod-o-meter this month. I think I came a close fourth after a very lovely Scouse girl (alphabetty wotsit), an extremely pleasant Codfather (you know who you are) and a sozzled rocky-pilfering Scouser. :naughty: :p ;) Now here's a story… imagine about 15 people all wellied and in need of a smoke. WeeSpeccy had provided the requirements, which we had been tucking into - then it disappeared. Now, this lairy Scouser just stood there as EVERYONE took it upon themselves to empty pockets, upturn cushions and generally look around the place. After watching JoJo have a leaf through the bottle bag on the floor, the lad in question magically conjured up the piece from his pocket. If any of you know the lad, give him a slap. The tw*t. :p

Mashup ended in the dying hours of daylight on the Sunday… taxi driver was ace on the way back to Dreamgirl's - he knew we were obviously wellied and wanted a quiet journey, so he decided to talk all the way through. Nice one kid. At the end of the ride I said "have a good day mate"… he replied "don't you mean evening? You've had a good un eh?". No shit sherlock. Was boss. ;)

Oh yeah - the end? Like heck. Back round the table of doom in the dining room, and more surprise packets were found in suitcases etc and the merriment continued. Ale, smoke, other bits n pieces. Randomness. Boss. All throughout Dreamgirl and Nex and I think maybe Placid were providing choons to the masses…Nex getting out some special presses. Respect to JoJo for slating the Detroit-style heavy percussive production (pots n pans!!) - I was embarrassed for her…. Haha, thought you got away with that Jo… I had to bring it up again. Anyways, I even called Mark Paul at one point, I think cos I'd gone cross eyed and was looking one way when my head was turned tóther way. Doesn't matter, that's what its all about - being random, but being nice with it. No malicious intent… unless you are slating people's choons! Opps, did I mention it again? :$

This was a class hazy - Monday was recoevry of sorts… ended up staying overnight and rebooking flight for 6am Tuesday morning - arriving at work 9.05am in a very very sorry state. Ste, thanks for driving me la, you're a diamond geezer.

Large shouts to the Scouse Crew for extending levels of hospitality beyond expectations… Dreamgirl and Dodgy for the place to crash, and Grover n Shazz for the extremely messy mash up back at theirs, and the rest of ya's for being who you are: tolerant, patient, funny, sharp-witted bastards that suffer from chronic sense of humour overload. Don't change eh...

HazyCrew - yer a load of mad'eads

HazyMashups - thank the lord they're only once a month

Hazydayz - yer a boss night out.

Sorry its a bit late but the pc has been in a box for the last few weeks  plus not had an internet connection since we moved because it takes "up to 10 days" to switch you back on - yeah right. Its been wierd without it - Ruth's dreading it tho - 3 weeks worth of searching ebay for tunes for me to catch up on now :p :p

Anyways - absolutely top class Hazy. I always say one of the best but that last one was one of THE best. Class atmos, brilliant tunes up and downstairs and absolutely rammed. Everythings been said already - top top night.

A big massive thankyou to everyone who came and for all the message of good luck and the cards and stuff. Hazy's been such a big part of my life for 2 years and its going to be well wierd without it. I'm going to miss you and it very much but I'm deffo planning plenty of visits as a punter in the not so distant future.

Thankyou to everyone who has helped with Hazy. Shaz, Ste, Anne, SJ, Shanine, Vertigo, Tag, Shaun, Brixtim, Mike, The crew at the Zanzi esp Andy...

Finally I just want to say a public thank you to Mick - an absolutely amazing bloke (and an awesome DJ too ;) phones: ) without whom none of this would have been possible - you've made something so special. I have some really great memories, played with some reet leg-ends and its something I will never ever forget mate. Thank you so much.

See you all v soon.
