Every week i seriously could not wait for saturday night, i went right from the begining and never missed a week, all my cash at the time went to going to bowlers..
I'd remember standing on my podium (how sad does it sound now) lol and that was my spot every week, as you looked into the main arena on the far side i'd be there right on the corner of it dressed in me white shorts white gloves and me glow sticks, going for it like it was my last time i was gonna be there, certain tunes would come on like paradice- can you hear me, i'd be that of my tits i'd burst into tears of happieness, the rushes and the feeling that everybody else around me was feeling the same, this is a feeling that would never be created any where else no matter what, the magic of bowlers would never be the same anywhere else cos it was the building itself that played a major important part in the histroy of life...
Do you all remember that feeling you got when you arrived at the car park, the buzz around that place was unreal, loud tunes playing thro massive systems in peoples cars, big groups of people playing football, people dancing outside there cars, and not forgetting the frendliest crowd of people i have ever met and then people like me waiting hestantly in the line ready to go in hearing the bass thumping thr the building, these are all things that made bowlers what it was, and that is where it should be left!!! as a happy memory of what used to be...
God if i could have one wish it would be to have one more night there in the same spot, when it finally closed its doors as life i was gutted, but one thing is for certain, the memories will always be with me!!!
