On Facebook I want to find out together with you the best commercially succesful songs of 1991. With commercially succesful I mean the song should at least reach the Top 40 of the official UK charts. I pre-selected 128 songs from 1991 including all dance anthems, some hip-hop/soul and some guitar rave. In the first round there will be 64 battles, which I randomly created. The winners will go further to the second round. First 32 battles of round 1 are already finished. Currently 16 battles are active. Feel free to vote on the OSA facebook group. In the end I will perform a mix of the best 30 voted songs by you.

. I think nearly all tunes from the Pete Tong selection are in the polls. Stu Allen played more the underground stuff, which mostly did not make it into the Top 40 sales chart. The problem is always which tunes to select initially. If you consider from everything this might be a biased selection. TBH though the charts were a total fix, linked to the gallup machine, I used to be in a record shop and the rep would say to the gals punch that in 3 times each time you sell one
