To change the interface
Start - run - cmd:
netsh int ip set address "local area connection" dhcp
DNS:
netsh int ip set dns "local area connection" dhcp
Doh. Is the wireless router connect to a PC wired somehwere? Are you using multiple PCs/laptops
oh god what does all that mean>>> :$
the router is simply connected to my cable modem on my home pc - im trying to set it up so i can use my laptop as well
ethernet cable from the modem into the WAN socket on the wireless router then the flat wire from the router in lan1 to the socket on the back of the pc no connection to server for either home pc and no wireless connectivity for the laptop either
To reset it:
Press and hold the recessed reset button for a few seconds until the DIAG LED illuminates. This implies that the unit must be turned on first, press and hold, and wait for the LED.
This should then set its IP back to default - then you should be able to browse to it (192.168.11.1) through i.e etc from the PC that is wired to it.
If you cant browse to it - try ping it
Start -> run -> Cmd -> ping 192.168.11.1
When i spoke to them yest they basically said that because the router wasnt from them they couldnt offer any technical support. i might see how much they can do me a router for tbh
Could really do without the expense when i have one sat here grrrr! itll be summat stoopid n all - flippin gadgets lolGet an EDimax 1
