Call me ever the cynic but I have a feeling this whole situation has been manufactured, if not the dubious race element. Three white trash who were bound to form their own little clique and a beautiful, intelligent, famous Indian superstar. I mean look at the ratings. This is just a case of envy imo. Just your old fashioned female bitchiness.

its was pretty uncomfortable viewing last night when it was at full rant, its the first time I've watched it, talk about a baptism of fire! lol, and it helped remind me why I dont usually bother with things like that, lol :D Yes I admit I put it on due to hearing on the radio about x amounts of complaints over and over again and suppose I wanted to see what the fuss was all about :$ (God , I must be such a media-whore) :p ;) and / or if the complaints seemed justified.
Made me wince. A hard day at work is filled with enough mither and noise without switching on your telly and seeing some wailing banshee babbling and screeching like a gypsy selling pegs  :D

It said something on the radio earlier too about some perfume shops withdrawing Jade's perfume from sale now

She will. And everyone will say 'how nice that a person of colour has won big brother'. And you'll be sick of hearing about it, and the so called racism in that house.

I do think the racism issue has been slighty over exagerated yet, there are slight undertones of racism in what's being said. Some comments are very nasty and attack her nature and culture. Their lack of understanding and maturity is making them appear ignorant and unconciously racist. Similar to when you post silly comments like the one above Amy!

I can see where Amy is coming from though......but anyway, Im not allowed to go off on one.

I was wondering how long it would be before the British Natonal Party was mentioned in the media though.......I havent been following the coverage in depth, but I believe a free London paper may have been the first....

Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty is not the victim of racism and people should stop getting upset, says the British National Party.

The party also believes all the contestants should be shot and the show closed down.

But party spokesman Dr Phil Edwards said: 'The comments made should not be classed as racist.

'They (the housemates) have been making comments about the way people live in other countries.

'The show is trivia, people should stop getting upset and start talking about the real problems in Britain'.

He added: 'They should close the programme and shoot the lot of them.'

Mr Edwards said it was a 'sad reflection of society' that millions of people watched Big Brother and thousands had contacted Channel 4 to complain.
'The only people who can learn anything from it are psychologists who can learn from the animal behaviour.'

The number of complaints to Ofcom is approaching 20,000 and the Indian government has also indicated that it plans to raise the issue with Britain
 Dont hold back Phil. And no, he wasnt really suggesting shooting poeple, its just a phrase people say!.

I think my point is being missed.

I've not written anywhere that she has an excuse to bully anyone, because nobody ever does.

What I actually said was.......shes going to get lots of bad media attention, and I personally feel sorry for her. Yes, shes been poorly educated, yes, shes a bit scummy, but I feel like shes had a hard life - how the frig are you supposed to turn out???? These people are the product of an upbringing, and I had a lot of sympathy and respect for Jade when she was getting upset about her mother. It became very clear that Jade has in fact been a mother to her mother. And regardless of whether or not her mum has looked after her kids, or done her washing - I mean real things, like given her mum advice, protected her, reassured her, made sure she didnt go too far in making a fool of herself etc etc. Real things. To be a product of such a life, where your mother has been a druggy, a prostitute, been on medication etc. - I think she has done pretty well, and I feel very very very sorry for her.
To be honest, if she gets any bad media attention then it is because of the way she acted. I know these shows are clverly edited but you can't deny she said what she did and shouted the way she did, it was caught on film ffs! You ARE tryin to excuse her shitty behaviour by sayin she's had a crappy upbringing and basically trying to make out like its not her fault she's the way she is, but I know people with REALLY piss poor upbringings and they still learn things like manners and politeness, even if not off their parents. Some people have been far worse off than jade and don't see it right to bully anyone. She is bullying in there and you are tryin to make excuses...... It doesn't matter where you grew up or ur upbringing, everyone has been taught that bullying is wrong, even if it's just from the school you went to. I don't see what point you're trying to make other than to excuse her behaviour, Amy???

And I agree that while not all comments have been racist, that some have had slight racist undertones as you say miss t. I don't think they realise how they say things comes across sometimes. They're all pretty ignorant. Like when Jo said "that's why all the people in india are thin, coz they don't know how to cook chicken." She' knows thats not the truth and to me thats being vicious......

the point i was making was in support of Jade.........as everyone on here has been like 'fuck jade', making out shes practically the devil on earth or something. Yes, shes been a bitch......but about 3 days previous she was the opposite.
I was just trying to balance it out by suggesting that we might have a little respect or sympathy for her concerning her upbringing and how WELL she acted when her mother was in the house. She did come across as the protector and carer for Jacquie, and good on her for doing so. It will in my opinion, be a great shame if her life is ruined by the media hyping up some bitchy ignorance...........which is not racism.

Over the hill in St Helens
Right as ive stated, ive not been watching it but ive just got off the phone to my sis who has, and she seems to have a very different take on things....apparently she said that shilpa started the argument with Jade last night over a stock cube and kept going on and on about it until Jade took the bait and exploded, whilst Shilpa then remained calm and looked like the good guy and went running off to the boys to be comforted as the 'victim' my sis reckons that Shilpa is very clever, cunning and manipulative and is using Jades obvious thickness and ignorance in her favour (to win the public sympathy)..and that Cleo has cottoned on to this!?! what do you think???

God i wished i would have watched it now!!!

Sounds like a typical Paki to me

(which for the benefit of those who take things a little too literally on here... was SO tongue in cheek you would not believe & was meant to show how ludicrous the whole situation is...  she is Indian yet I've still heard people refer to her as being Pakistani - you point it out & they say..."well there all the same aren't they ?"... errr no)

LOL :D I normally have to pay extra for that

Yeah, you still owe me! I know I gave you a discount cos my attempts at ascouse accent were pretty poor, but I expect some sort of payment. :naughty:

As for the BB incident, keith floyd style........take two people who dont get on, add in a few ignorant outbursts, one honey trap, lightly pepper with "racism" of the most babyish kind, mix in several "Race Industry" organisations and bleat to a pulp.
Bring to the boil with endless TV deliberating of the most inane variety using the stove of burning effigy's of Big Brother orchestrators. Chop and dice some fresh propoganda soundbites, and throw in some dill politicians to help liven up the political flavour. Stir thoroughly with copious amounts of Gordon Brown working himself up into a froth and playing Prime Minister on 'broader issues' for his seemingly unchallenged 'seat' in the future, simmer for three days and serve with a good helping of 'tolerance', 'diversity', 'multicultural' glib-ness until youve had a gut-full.

Bon Appetite!

like i said earlier, i always said fair play to the girl about making what she has of herself all things considered. I agree with you about her bein more like the mother figure but I still don't agree that I should give her sympathy coz of her upbringing as people are far worse off than her and still don't think that excuses bullying. I do not agree that even if your background is shit that makin someone feel crap by bullyin them phsically or verbally is right. I do not think there are any excuses. EVER! :)
