Lol, our kids birthday is on the day after Valentines Day and he deliberately makes a point of displaying all his cards on the windowsill, trying to make him look like some sort of super stud-muffin love God .... the tit

Well a rabbit would be a hell of alot cheaper than a spa day & a meal! Just scrap the meal & get the other two.

I always do it right

My problem is that I am too thoughtful & caring (lol if you can believe that).. I always get burnt for it... :(

I love the thought that goes into a gift... it has to come from the heart or not at all imo... I'd be mortified if someone ever got me vouchers for xmas or summat... it's never about the money, it's about the thought & the care that's gone into it... like someone has actually sat down & considered how to bring a smile to someones face or make them catch their breath & touch their heart.... at least that's how I think about presents & surprises...

I'm off to check if I still have a penis... :$

aw bless you. Thats lovely. Lets hope you do still have the penis too!

I bought my bro vouchers for xmas this year as i knew he wanted clothes and i thought he was gona love goin shoppin with his mates and spending them. I would've bought him clothes but i knew he'd love the whole "shoppin with his mtes in machester" scenario so it was the perfect pressie.

back to the topic tho, i'm not too bothered about extravagant gifts coz i think birthdays etc are more for if you want to splash out. but i like a card and maybe a little something. i don't see the point in just using valentines day to show someone you care, i'm forever writing little notes to butty when i go from his if he's still in bed, or getting him cards/gifts. i sent him one in the post just the other week actually... :)

That would be one of the rare occasions when vouchers are acceptable then as you've obviously thought about his enjoyment using them.. rather than going "I can't be arsed thinking of a personal & heartfelt present... I'll just get xxx amount of vouchers from HMV" etc

In the words of that miserable looking twat outta Black 'Baby, life's what you make it'.

:)

too true, imo its jus you go for a meal the whole restaurants packed we r all eating the same thing, the prices of flowers double, i just think its a little bit over rated, as when ur with someone u pretty much tell them how special and how loved they are everyday, well i know i do!. i dont need all the commercialisation (sp) of one day to know how much he loves me, god he puts up with me day in day out!
please dont think im a grump its just i dont need to spend copius amounts of cash on my luverly (unless its for vinyl lol)for him to know how much i love him, i celebrate the fact i do everyday not just v day x :D
