Ah poltergeists....
Shit, how could I forget
I have been in the company of a poltergeist(s) and nobody can convince me otherwise.
When I was 17 or 18, I was working in a church in West Leigh. I was a trainee pipe organ builder at the time and it must have been late autumn/early winter as it was pitch black in the church and I was sat on the bench at the organ, cleaning the keys with just a solitary light shining in the area.
Everything had been stripped out of the organ and there was tonnes of pipes, soundboxes, wooden panels etc all stacked neatly at the back of the church, which was dark. I was in the church on my own and the doors were locked.
After sitting there a while, I heard an almighty succession of crashes and things smashing at the back of the church and I jumped out of my skin onto my feet and hesitantly switch the lights on to the back. Before slowly making my way to the back of the church to see what had caused it. I looked around and everything seemed to be placed exactly where i'd left it and I couldn't believe it, nothing had fallen over.
After a while I composed myself and made my way back to the keyboard, leaving the lights on and got back to cleaning the keys. After a while I thought i'd better switch the lights off at the back again to save the church money on it's electricity bill and carried on as before.
A few minutes later I heard the sound of everything crashing around at the back of the church again and now completely shitting myself I legged it to the door, unlocked it, and stood outside looking at the door wondering whether to risk locking it before fecking off home.
So I definitely believe in poltergeists
