I'm proud that i stick to the speed limit  (Except for those two incidents involving grown men in uniforms behind bushes with cameras :$ )!!!!!!!
lol.

Nah - sticking to the speed limit is good mate. I totally agree.

It's just the people who drive loads slower than the limit - especially in 50/60/70 mph zones. ... and even worse when they then keep goin at 40mph in a 30 zone... irritators.

1. People who pull out in front of you from a junction and make you slow right down, even though there is nobody behind you, and then drive 10mph slower than the speed limit. I swear this happens to me every morning when I'm going towards Chorley on the A674. Someone ALWAYS pulls out from the junction at the Red Cat. If you're that impatient that you can't wait 5 seconds, PUT YOUR FUCKING FOOT DOWN WHEN YOU PULL OUT!

2. Kind of like the above, but instead of just pulling out and then driving slowley, they indicate straight away and then stop - waiting to turn right. Even though the road behind you is clear for miles.

3. People who complain about speed cameras. Especially the ones who complain that the police only put them up to generate money. Er, hello? If you don't speed, they don't get any money.

4. Car drivers who block the road and think that a wagon pulling a 40 foot trailer can fit through a gap that's 4 foot wide.

5. People who do this:

Brake
Brake harder
Manoeuvre
Signal
Mirror
Stick hand up to say sorry, thinking it makes up for nearly killing you.

Seriously, you have no idea how bad some people are at driving until you get a job where you're out on the raods all day. lol :D

Just thought of some more, lol...

People who sit in the middle lane of the motorway.

People who think of the lanes of a motorway as being the slow lane, the medium lane, and the fast lane.

People who don't realize it's perfectly legal to "undertake" someone on the motorway - i.e. pass them on the inside.

since when? i was under the impression it is always illegal to undertake...

Since always as far as I'm aware. I was reliebly informed by two ex-traffic policemen, that it's ok, as long as you're not causing any danger to other road users.

your 2 ex traffic policemen will get you a nice fine or a ban me thinks. don't listen to em. the highway code states on a motorway...........

241: Do not overtake unless you are sure it is safe to do so.
Overtake only on the right............blah blah blah.......

242: Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right..........then it's ok

check it out. http://www.highwaycode.gov.uk/23.htm

i'm not a driver but as a pedestrian the thing that annoys me about drivers is when i'm tryin to cross the road and they don't indicate so u dont no if they'r comin ur way or goin the opposite way, then if u do cross and they're comin towards u, they're like  at u...... if u'd have FUCKIN INDICATED!!!!!!!!!!

Aye, but it only says "DO NOT overtake...." You're only breaking the law if you break a highway code rule that says "You MUST NOT...." as in "You MUST NOT use the hard shoulder for overtkaing"

well, I'm probably one of the buggers on the roads that piss everyone off the most. I deliver stuff in a long wheel based white transit van all day... the road is mine get used to it !! ;) lol

as ya can imagine, i have to put up with a lot of dozey drivers and pedestrians on the roads. some of my pet hates are.......

1. people when making a left turn who then almost stop dead for no reason as they begin the manoeuvre... why !!! grrrrrr.

2. people who are obviously too old, short sighted and slow to drive a car. and i have to agree most of them either drive nissan micra's or they're old men in hats that drive an old green rover 214 that looks as good as the day it came off the production line in 1989. (how they manage to keep them like that i'll never know):S

3. pensioners crossing roads. they're worse than kids, just walk out in front of ya and don't look. especially if you're about to make a left turn and they're walkin towards the road your about to turn into with their back to you. you have to be aware of the fact they are not going to look and asume they're gonna walk out into the road, which 9 times out of 10 they do and are totally oblivious to the fact you've had to stop dead in the middle of the road to wait for them to cross while cars are swerving to get round you. that pisses me right off

4. people when overtaking on A roads or motorways driving at 2mph faster than the car they're overtaking while blockin the road for everyone else. HGV's are buggers for that one. grrrrrrrr

5. lazy or lack of indicating on round-a-bout's. grrrr  proper indicating just helps other drivers know when to pull out or not and helps with traffic flow, especially when it's busy. pls pls pls get into a habbit of doin it right

6. pedestrains (usually pensioners) who are waiting to cross at traffic lights for ages while they're on red, they stand there thinkin 'should i or shouldn't i?' then decide to cross just before they change to green and end up in the middle of road stoppin all the traffic moving off at the green light. aaaaaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh  i fluckin hate that one, ya can spot the ones who are gonna do it a mile off an all. lol

all the usual ones which others have probs mentioned, people drivin up ya backside, gettin stuck behind tracktors etc etc.. i hate sittin in the passenger seat especially when me dads driving, he scares the shit outta me !! lol

maybe technically it does have to be the must not rule, but I'd bet me house on the fact that if one of your ex traffic cop mates would have caught someone undertaking on a motorway in their day they'd have thrown the book at em. it might not be strictly illigal but i wouldn't say it was 'perfectly legal'. personally, i'd rather not test your theory out ;)

Pricks who drive about 12 inches off your back bumper as if to say drive faster when you clearly can't because of the state of the road in front of you, I've now started to stamp on the brakes now and again to warn them off, cocks

I am a twat driving though, no patience whatsoever, grannies/milk floats/tracktors etc. GET THE FOOK OUTTA MY WAAAAAAY!!!

now i'm guilty of tail-gating like most people but you can't moan if someone slams on in front of you, you shouldn't be that near that it bothers you.. as much as i do it to other people if someone constantly does it to me i'll slam on as well.

just the standard for me, slow peeps in the middle lane, the police were supposed to be having a campaign on this but i've not seen much.

and people pulling out. you can see them ages off and you'll know they'll be pondering what to do, and they'll only do it when you're almost on top of them. if they made the decision to go straight away all would be ok, but they wait and wait...

oh and people who think the NSL on a dual carriage way is 60

i think the law/government is pretty ageist against drivers. they make it harder and harder for younger people to pass when it's the old ones causing most of the trouble. and that's not ageist it's a fact, reaction times are slower etc, they daudle about causing chaos. it's safer to speed than to drive slower. they should be retested around the 50 mark not the 70 or 80 which it is now. there's people on the roads now who passed there tests 60 or 70 yrs ago when cars looked like this and did 3 mph..there probably wasn't roundabouts etc then and there certainly wasn't motorway slip roads they could be tested on to check they don't go down them the wrong way :S
