if he'd had the bollocks to get out of the car yesterday i would have smashed his fuckin face in and that would have been no more than he deserved

woody, i think you need to chill slightly, you are really comin across as a proper road rage loony that beats peeps up after a near miss lol  ;) i don't disagree with you that this bloke in his beemer was a right tit but chasing people down the road challenging them to a fight isn't the best thing to do for anyone for a number of reasons.

1. you don't know who this person is, how doya know they arent gonna pull a gun or a knife on ya, or just punch your head in till you're dead.

2. ok, they get out the car, you punch them in the face, they fall smashin their head on the kerb and die from the blow. you're in prison for life. even if they don't fall and die ya lookin at a GBH charge. is it worth puttin yaself in that position where ya may have to fight?

3. ok you make your point, scaring the shit outta them. well done, you got away with the first 2 not happening, hopefully they don't call the police and get you charged. it would be you in the shit, not them, whatever you said they did on the motorway wouldn't make a difference if they could prove you used threatening behaviour towards them.

if i had a quid for every time someone did somethin stupid like that infront of me that could have caused me to crash if i wasn't so aware I'd be a millionaire in A year. also if i got that angry and upset everytime someone did somethin stupid like that I'd end up dying of a heart attack or something as i drive 8 hours a day 5 days a week in my job and whatever else ontop of that in my own time. you have to drive expecting people to do stupid things because 9 times out of 10 they will. but above all you have to try and stay calm.

maybe, but when other people endanger my own life by driving like a twat, i will always go mad. dont really give a fuck in all honesty. i drive pretty fast i will admit but i am always considerate and let people out or if i see someone indicating further up the motorway i will pull over well in advance and/or flash them to pull out. i drive for a few hours a day on a motorway and i'll be damned if i'm gonna let some knob put my life at risk coz he thinks he owns the road

nah slamming on doin 75 on an motorway is plain wrong mate. i'd pulled into the middle lane to let a van pass but it slowed down and pulled in behind me, so as i was aproaching a car infront of me, i pulled out to overtake it and the **** in the beemer who was further infront of me, thought that it was his god given right to slam on when there was no one in front of him because i'd dared change lane twice in less than a minute. i wasnt near too him at all, and when he did slam on all it caused was my paperwork to fall off the passenger seat into the footwell.. and get me well annoyed

so is this still right to do then grad? what if a lesser abled braking vehicle like a van with hefty load had suddenly pulled out and was behind me? no abs or anything he would probably have shunted me accross 3 busy lanes no doubt killing me and countless others whilst the gobshite in the beemer would have drove off unscathed. is it still right now

if he'd had the bollocks to get out of the car yesterday i would have smashed his fuckin face in and that would have been no more than he deserved

Fair doooo's Woody, there's no need, it's just childish!!!!!

Rush of blood to the head init, I had some dink go to overtake me when I was already indicating to turn right off a fast road the other week, good job I just clocked him in time or we would have both been fucked. He was a right boy racer nob end, I had trace an the little 'un in the car n'all, so I turned to chase him an give him a good bollicking/slap, but got a severe bollicking myself instaed off Trace, cos if I started to chase him, drivin like a nob meself
with us all in the car, I'd be just as bad.

I was suitably told off!! What would we do without sensible females eh!

The impression you're giving is that if other people drive badly your reaction is to go mad at them. When you got wound up and followed the bloke off the motorway were you driving at your best giving it your full concentration, or were you wound up to the point you were desperate to confront him? When he realise you were following him how did it effect his concentration?
Once people start losing their cool driving things get dangerous.

There's loads of things irritate me about other drivers but me going mad at them will change absolutely nothing, so I don't bother.

That's what I mean by that.

maybe there's a new wave of danger craving midgets dressed in baby grows and bonets kidnapping young mothers then forcing them at gunpoint to dangle them over the edge of kerbs on main roads for a quick hit of mindblowing midget madness before they have to go back to work as a dwaf or an elf in their boring old job at the empire theatre

who knows :S

I was gonna write a long winded reply cos I agree with a lot of what's been said, then I thought if we respected other drivers the way we expect to be repsected then road rage wouldn't exist.

Ask yourselves this.................

How many times have u driven either at speed or had to take things at a totally different pace because of the circumstances at the time. Maybe u were late gettin somewhere really important or on the other hand ur car wasn't right & u wanted to get it to the garage without it breakin down or you have yours or someone else's kids in ur car??

I can't talk cos I don't have the greatest patience in the world when behind the wheel but if I get really annoyed I try (don't always succeed) to take a deep breath & remember that maybe the other driver has a perfectly legitimate reason for drivin the way he is!!

Give it some thought I think u might find a little bit of truth in what I've said & then next time when ur gettin mad cos some idiot's doin ur head in remember he might be a dick but then on the other hand he might have a reason for drivin the way that he is

Soz I don't mean to offend but when u think bout it........................
