Whilst not wishing to be a pedant, doves first appeared arse end of 90.

90 was deffo the best year for me. People still had the bollox to break into Warehouses, it was when you first got a long period of total consistency (biscuits, new yorkers and of course the aforementioned dove amongst others). More importantly it was when the piano turely became king.

Lol spot on there jonno especially the biscuits.;)

I voted 89 (although to be more exact it would be late 89 early 90, Konspiracy, Thunderdome. Strawberries, Ohms and Smilies) an all just coz it was the year my eyes were really opened :| , nothing then came close untill late 92 to summer 93, for some reason I had a blinding almost none-stop 8 months party in that period. Still 89 takes the biscuit ;)

Chills.
91 deffo got me going. Likes of Dennis the menaces and doves. The years before we were into A Cid, strawbs in the warehouse in Leeds, and it was in Monroes that told me i was takin the wrong thing! In 91 the choones got me well hooked and i just couldnt stay out of Lancs, cos the folk in there were well more into parties. Then it all blended into a big mashed up haze in 92.

Its a toughy between these years, but gonna say 91.

Which year have you enjoyed the most (so far)? - I'd go for '89 (Oh - the innocence of it) closely followed by '91 (Hello Doves)

Voted 89. I'll never forget walking into the Hac for the first time and gawping at all the nutters. I was a changed person overnight. Oh for one more night on them podiums

Can I vote for 90 and 91 too...Mr Dove, I salute you:king:

92 for me - the Hooligan X was in full effect. Quote from the man MC Lee whilst mcing to Richie Havens:-

"Come on Scotland - Going back to your roots
Scotland Roots
Bonnie Prince Charlie Roots
Robert the Bruce Roots etc etc

FAAAAYERRRR!!!!!!"

What the f**k??? good times though, that shout will always stick in my mind, we couldn't dance for laughing but he was the man and mr paterson always the played the quality choonage. Followed them up and down the country quite a bit in the years gone by. Aaah memories

91 for me I reckon, top action tunewise and with the other, as most of you have said. Tough choice to be honest though as the two or three years either side of that were wicked too, and they all kind of blend a bit.

I can't decide between 1988, 1989 and 1990, they're all fantastic years for me, if only I could revist them..

Well I did the other night, in a spiritual, special kinda way, but I won't divulge anymore ;)

Edit:

I voted 1990, fuck it, M.V.I.T.A were ace for me in 1990, that's done it for me :D

91 for me !!

It has to be 1991, this year changed my life for good, in 92 we moved to holland and partied with spiral tribe in the squats, two years later we moved back to england, everything had changed. But definately 91 the whole scene was rocking, liverpool, warrington and manchester, people new how to party!!! everything was fresh and hedonism ruled  happy days
