The Eclipse opened on Saturday 13th October 1990. The line up was as follows....

"Evil" Eddie Richards, Tony Ross, Fabio, Mickey Finn, Dobbo and some young upstart called "Sacha" (sic) - no idea who he was with MC Tunes live on stage.

Just double checked... "Cream Opening Night" was Saturday 17th October 1992 with Fabio Paris, Paul Myers and Paul Bleasdale in the back room of the Academy (Nation). The following Saturday (24th) had James Barton, Andy Carroll and Paul Bleasdale

Cream used to be in the back room of Eden where I used to DJ in the Academy. Im not too sure about the dates though but Im sure it was 93. Its all a bit of a blur from back then

Wasn't Eden that night that Billy & Robbie used to do, then they fekked off down Planet X? Remember Cream starting up. So that was October 92? Used to do a lot of sound/lights/DJing at the Academy around that time so ended up "working" at most events down there around that time, but as you say, bit of blur. Ended up as a Bar Manager there through some quite bizarre circumstances, which (trying to piece it all together) I must've done for 1-2 years... hmm... hazy indeed.

Wasn't Eden that night that Billy & Robbie used to do, then they fekked off down Planet X? Remember Cream starting up. So that was October 92? Used to do a lot of sound/lights/DJing at the Academy around that time so ended up "working" at most events down there around that time, but as you say, bit of blur. yep Billy and Robbie where residents there on a Saturday, after about a year or so I was also on there with them. It was me and Robbie that went down to the Planet X and started the night with Grover on here called Emanon. Dont know whether my memory serves me right but think the three of us did do something just before Emanon started....

Jesus, id be here all day if i was to tell you about ark and its roots, their is lots i cant really say on a public forum as their is about renaissance too, could land myself in trouble and i deal with/friends some of the folk involved he he... and i was told in confidence, iv kept most of it to myself since.
i found out all i could about ark tho soon as i could as that was my grail, did u know that all the djs from ark, well all the regulars like Ewan Cawood, Tissera, Savage, Ossia etc all got little mirrors for snorting the white stuff off, they had the Ark text engraved into it and are mega cool and ultra rare..

back to basics started in 1991 the date was 23/11/91 at the music factory witch is now the elbow rooms were d j tim plays. then they moved to the old galley after the gallery shut down becuse they fill the big hole in upstaires were you looked down on to the dance floor and made it in to a dance floor and that was 10/9/94 were d j blandon block and jeremy healy even paul oakenfold has been on the decks and was on a friday night they were ther till 14/6/97 till the rooms shut down ones again if am correct my be not .

Aye thats about right, I was going there Sept / Oct I think, pretty much straight away at University late 92 at the Music Factory

Soak was summer 92 I think, after the Kaos nights went tits up, but I didnt move to Leeds until September that year

Shaboo was early 90 wasnt it I can remember the Frenzy nights up there were in 89 because a few lads I knew from college used to go, and Shaboo started up after that early 90 I think. It is a long time ago:S

Got the first Renaissance flyer somewhere, and Ive recently got a scanner so I'll fiddle around with it and put it up

Was always on a Saturday night was Basics, up yer ronson was Fridays..
97 moved to Mint club for a bit...jus about every DJ going has played at basics, its supposed to be longest runnin house night ever...

Aye thats right, they did em at the Corn Exchange, went to few of the early ones with Sasha on, and another one, Discotheque with Paul Oakey. Always thought the sound in there was a bit iffy TBH. Top nights though
