I know this is a dead old thread, and that I don't know most of you - but some of those things that have been written are some of the most touchingly honest and lovely things I've ever read. I don't have any kids, but I hope that when I do I cope with it as well as you lot seem to have done, whatever life throws at me. Respect to the parents

I have no children - and to be honest as im still single i cant see that ill be having any in the foreseeable future. Ive had boyfriends but nothing that has ever lasted and certainly id never get preggers on purpose even though my biological clock is ticking away, id not have a kid unless it was truely wanted by myself and future dad.

I had my son when i was 22, i had been with his dad since i was 14 but Callum wasnt planned, although i wouldnt be without him.

We split up when Callum was 6 months old for reasons that i dont really want to discuss, but it was the best thing i have ever done.

Callum is 11 now and still sees his dad every couple of weeks.

I have more or less been on my own bringing him up on my own, its been hard, but i dont think i have done a bad job! :|

My best mate had her first at 19 and caught on with her second pretty much straight away Two fantastic little girls Daisy (I named her whilst off my head-Sorry Daisy) and Kacey-I love them SO much Shes still with their dad and they make a mint little family, sometimes Im jealous of it, but I know sometimes shes jealous of what Ive got (no commitments)...Only the other day I asked her if she would change any of it and she said no, shes got it out of the way now got 2 gorgeous girls and a good partner, and is now, like Shabba concentrating on her career and becoming a teacher

Its quite funny how its turned out, everyone thought it would be me with the kids and her still out clubbing till the cows come home...

I also have another on the way! I'm due in December! This was not planned!
I am also still with the same guy!

I wouldn't change anything for the world - i love the chaos and everything else which comes with having kids and you get so much back!

Everyone is different but you'll know when you are ready to have kids.
